The nice thing about this spell is there is no initial DD and the recast time is 2 secs. That means you can actually cast Breath of Ulthor / Wunshi on mobs and it will continously do damage ... not great for alot of omens mobs because they mostly summon but can still be effective in the right application. My main is 67th shaman and I 4 box alot. So this makes it nice after slowed I cast these 2 dots and concentrate on other computers and the dps makes nice difference.

only 180 a tick? im doing more than that at 56th... doesnt this do less damage than scourge? or at least the same? concidering its a 67th spell i would expect this to be doing like 250 or so a tick (for a long term dot anyways)

Scourge: shaman level 34 spell, does 24hp/tick damage. I think this spell does a tad more...
This is the upgrade in the disease line, lower damage per tick than poison or curse (magic) resist dots, but does more damage in long fights (note the 2.6 minute duration). The previous best disease dot was Breath of Ultor, the 64 disease dot, which did 131hp/tick.
Want more damage per tick? The new 69 curse dot does 577/tick ... for 30 seconds. Or the 70 poison dot that does 450/tick over 42 seconds. What line of dots you use depends on the duration of the fight and who has aggro (and how well they have it!)

With no foci this is 4680 damage, now add crit dot AAs and dot focus items, you will be making mobs mess thur pants.
