Guard of the earth also blocks the beast spell of frenzy which many bst may be relying on to max their Agi and Dex.
Most tanks that know their stuff ask for this (except for SKs who have similar self-buff). I throw this one everyone I can who has open slots for it when grouping or raiding.
Always put on the tanks if nothing else (space providing, of course). I find myself explaining what this does to folks in pickup groups/raids not too infrequently. Be aware that it can sometimes block special pet buffs, so check with pet owners first.
