I sat down and memed this spell along with a yaulp 2 to see what they did together. My base str is 154, so i cast Frenzied str...and more intrersted in using both spells at the same time i cast yaupl right behind it. Str jumped up to 212. But the frenzied str works like the lower level berserker str. you lose some str over the duration of the spell untill str returns to normal. it has the duration of 2 or 3 yaulps so it is easy to step down in str. I do not recall ever seeing a neg effect on str at the end like Berserker str. In combat this spell is best set on the pull as it will last long enough to get ya through a fight or 2 if the fights are right after each other.
This has become my new spell combo toy, as i get str i only saw with a shammy or druid str spell on me. i am yet to see what happens if I have something like storm str like from a frost giant beard or coldain beard. if they stack i could see a 255 str in bursts. hhhmmmm (Don't make me angery, you would not like me when i am angery -Dr. Bruce Banner , the hulk) hehehe

Yes, the negative effect is still there at the end of this spell's duration. (Kinda imitates RL since you could summon, from someplace deep inside yourself, a burst of strength not normally felt...and afterward you'd feel a bit drained!) But I still use it fairly often if I don't have another STR buff cast on me. When the puller announces "Incoming Target!", I'll cast this one on myself while waiting to acquire the target. With Frenzied Strength and Yaulp II, I can max my STR for a minute or so, then it drops slowly to just under my unbuffed.

The good thing about this line of spells is that you can recast it anytime and start the cycle over. While in battle this may not be practical if you're MT nor wise if the fight is so close you can't afford the missed swings a recast would cost, during those long, drawn-out battles of attrition, that extra DPS from STR 255 can make a difference.

VI got this one right, methinks.
