Hello,
Guess I am being a little dense so please bear with me. I did read the post below, however, I don't get out of it where I need to hunt to get this spell. So will I get it hunting in WoS? I am a 65 Shaman and am interested in obtaining this spell. Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.

Where do we get this spell
# Jul 31 2007 at 12:44 PM Rating: Decent
Chaos Runes (Ancient GoD Spells)
Listing Only Shaman Spells

Where:
Abysmal Sea

Who:
Reyfin Malakwa

Level: 65

Quest Items:
Taelosian Geomancy Stone Eril
Taelosian Geomancy Stone Jelki
Taelosian Geomancy Stone Yiktu

Reyfin Malakwa may be found on the ship at +225, +290, +100.

You say, 'Hail, Reyfin Malakwa'

Reyfin Malakwa stares silently out over the ocean towards the magical wards protecting the ship from the unyielding onslaught of the pounding waves. He jumps back terrorized when he realizes your presence. His visage calms a bit when he senses you mean him no immediate harm. He ponders you timidly for a moment and then leans down and begins drawing something in the sea grime that covers one of the boxes. You study his sketch for a moment and begin to understand that it is a rune of sorts. Three arching lines join in the center to form a sort of Y-shape.

All classes can turn in Taelosian Geomancy Stones to Reyfin Malakwa for a spell or discipline depending upon the class. Taelosian Geomancy Stone Jelki may be turned in by all classes, while Taelosian Geomancy Stone Eril and Taelosian Geomancy Stone Yiktu may only be turned in by spellcasting classes.

Reyfin Malakwa shuffles back from you until familiarity dawns on him. You reach forward and hold the stone out in front of you. He tilts his head slightly and studies the stone for a moment before taking it from your hands.

Reyfin Malakwa holds the symbol up over his head and speaks out over the dark waters. He begins to recite some sort of ritual as the runes begin to drip a sticky-looking fluid down on to his hands and arms. The rune begins to glow, softly at first, but it becomes brighter as Reyfin's voice rises. Suddenly, the symbol sublimates into a hovering mass of glowing vapor. Reyfin turns to you and beckons. You hold out your hand and receive the glowing vapor. Almost immediately the vapor solidifies into a familiar shape. Reyfin bends down and begins drawing in the grime once again. You see a pair of jagged lines crossing in the center.

For Taelosian Geomancy Stone Jelki:
Spell: Breath of Trushar

For Taelosian Geomancy Stone Eril:
Spell: Daluda's Mending

For Taelosian Geomancy Stone Yiktu:
Spell: Balance of the Nihil

I didn't read one thing that says how this spell is obtained other than you have to turn in a no drop item. Ok what item and to whom? Please
Pained memory

Identical to our level 68 omens spell Pained memory and you cannot use both as they will not refresh within the 18 seconds of either being used.
By the time you are raiding where you can get this you should already have Pained memory so pass on the chaos runes and let a guildie who gets some use out of it have it.
My poor canni finger
# Aug 30 2004 at 7:57 PM Rating: Decent
Yay, my canni finger will love this spell. Only have to cast it every 18 seconds => no more motorized canni finger spamming my combat window with "You haven't recovered yet." Man, I hate flaming others, but if you believe this spell is worthless... just turn back in your Soul Pole, hang up your apron and start collecting unemployment until you find another class that really suits you. Who the hell wants to press their canni button 30 times a tick when there is cooler stuff to be doing with your mana and newfound spare time. Like actually DoT'ing mobs (haven't done that in a while)

65 Wielderofthenumbcannifinger

And on another note, that remark about regen3 being indirectly linked to mana regen... well I guess you could say so, but with replenishment (44 hp/tick I believe) and quiescence (420 hp/tick)... regen 3 is... well, see what I'm getting at? Grrr still mad that they made mental clarity 3 a requirement to get canni5... now I'm workin myself into a bad mood.
who drops this?
# Jul 11 2004 at 12:18 PM Rating: Decent
So what mobs has this dropped off of?

Its not from the stone...
another usless spell
# Jun 08 2004 at 9:20 AM Rating: Decent
To Me its not even worth the spell slot.. 18 seconds is a ton of time no matter what ..
If i was sitting in POK and wanted to top off yes
.. Am i going to pay the 40k for this spell NO!
RE: another usless spell
# Oct 21 2005 at 9:34 AM Rating: Default
well, im assuming you guys are talking about pained memory because this spell is no-drop. on fv server im sure its droppable, but in since oow came out almost no gods spells are usefull ne more and have upgrades. that means that ancient god runes will probally become cheaper over there too.

Actually its quite a nice spell, kinda in middle of canni 4 and mass canni. Can hit this one then canni 4 a few times waiting on refresh if ya really need to do it again or can nuke dot heal or whatever. Its almost like having a mod rod.
recast time

Ancient = Stupid
# Feb 14 2004 at 11:15 PM Rating: Default
If this spell lives up to its name and actually is ancient like the previous ancients..it is useless. I have heard rumors that it will drop off the end zones of GoD that will eat Time equipped guilds. Anyone hear this?
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 10 2004 at 12:45 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i dont know how they figure canni uses no mana i cast canni 4 on myself all the time it dont use much but it does use some.

Dude, canni takes hp and ADDS mana. So what do you cast canni for if it uses your mana?

How much did you buy your account for?
RE: mana free
# May 21 2005 at 4:32 AM Rating: Decent
canni spells are 0 mana cost thats why you use it maybe you should check how much you bought your learner book for.
#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 10 2004 at 12:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hey merwen if your a 65 shammy that means your a prophet not a oracle dummy lol
upgraded Q
# Feb 04 2004 at 4:36 PM Rating: Default
now all we need is an upgraded Q. I mean, this spell + canni5 means ill be clicking Q alot more.
RE: upgraded Q
# Feb 20 2004 at 8:13 PM Rating: Decent
Go lookup Breath of Trushar, upgrade to Quine, lvl 65. Something like 360hp a tick instead of 300, for like 20 more mana. Kinda makes me wish I lvled my alt shm to 65 instead of puttin 100% aa on at 60 tryin to get C5.
RE: upgraded Q
# Jun 07 2004 at 4:08 AM Rating: Default
I know i should not say anything but WHY did you go 100%aa at 60. I shake my head every time i see a lvl 60 vennerable theni go over and smack them in back of their head go 90-100% EXP tillyou hit 65 you aa's will fly by alot faster you need to be able to access your higher level spells the mana pool and the less resists you get as you level a caster should be more interested in exp that AA till they hit 65. I was level 64 before i became a baron one of our guilds high level clerics explained it to me hell what does a shammy need run3 for or regen 3 get your levels aa's fly once you make 65 and now soon 66 and beyond ill be going 100% exp till i make 70
RE: upgraded Q
# Jul 29 2004 at 8:25 AM Rating: Decent
ok reg3 is use to help you REGEN YOUR HP's. what do shamans do for mana? they cannibalis.what dose that do? it eats health. the faster you regen your health the more mana you have. duh!

Canni ratios
# Feb 02 2004 at 6:49 AM Rating: Good
Canni V = 1924 hp for 1000 mana = 1.924 hp per mana point. Reuse is 3 mins

This spell would be 668 hp for 360 mana = 1.85 hp per mana point, has a reuse of 2.5seconds

So yeah, I think this is nice...
RE: Canni ratios
# Jul 11 2004 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
With Canni 4 you can make 984 mana in 60sec of chain casting and with Gates Canni you can 1080 mana in 43.5 sec with time to cast other spells. What that tells me is that AA is alot slower on mana regen but its is still nice AA maybe they make a another AA for hasten mass canni but not I'm going to count on that. but all that said AA canni good for mana you get at once without need to chain cast other canni's that and I told by a another shaman that with 15ft and mana prev that doesn't need canni 4 what would be nice to get that spell gem back for something else.
RE: Canni ratios
# Feb 10 2004 at 8:58 PM Rating: Decent
I thought that Massive Canni was 1924 hps for 1200 mana, which would make it 1.603 hp/mana. Massive canni would still be more efficient, although the value of this new spell is obvious. Am I wrong on the amount of mana from Canni V? That info is from Castersrealm, although I know they sometimes get things wrong. Please enlighten me. :)

Cannibalization:
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 1924
2: Increase Mana by 1066

So: 1.8 HP/Mana (rounding down).

AA Canni is great, but mostly because of the shortened timeframe it takes to recover mana - as you get more powerful, you will acquire AA and Focus Effects that save you a TON of mana, and the actual time it takes to cast canni becomes the biggest hamstring in between casting nukes and dots and heals. I'm greatful for the new canni spell (even though I don't have it yet!), but I know it's going to save me even more time, and nobody wants to be mid-canni when a mob is incoming and you need to cast debuffs ...
Cast on others
# Jan 30 2004 at 11:58 AM Rating: Default
Did anybody notice you can cast this on OTHERS, very good spell for groups.
RE: Cast on others
# Feb 01 2004 at 9:18 PM Rating: Default
Target type: self

That tends to mean SELF only, not others. The 18 second recast time is kinda a drag though. If it was 12 seconds would be almost perfect. Then you could Torpor/Q yourself and every 2 tics of healing would be eaten up by 1 casting of this...
Spell Name
# Jan 21 2004 at 12:13 PM Rating: Default
In my opinion they should call this spell Cannibalise V and give this spell's name to the AA skill.

This spell sounds like it really hurts - which should apply to the 1920hp bite of Cannibalisation (=Canni V =AA Skill).

This one is more like a continuation of the previous Canni line - and will be an excellent spell if it gets implemented. It will save a lot of spamming the canni4 button :)
