I tested it today, and this pet can now dual wield. I don't know when it was changed, but I gave him a dagger and a sword. Sure enough he equipped them and during our fights I see Lebitek pierces for x-amount and Lebitek slashes for x-amount.

why the hell did SoE make a needed spell for a pet reserch 2 times now i did not get my first root one now i can't get a stinking Lv 24 pet the root ya i understand it but a pet that should nont ever hapen to us, like i said that is are right arm.

If one pays attention to posts and actually reads them befor opening there YAP , one will know where to get the Words needed for this particular spell > Haunting Death .... But as a older and mature Necromancer I shall repeat the previous post for you young Bone Heads . Go to Oceans of Tears ( OOT ) and on Irollisi Island one will find all the words needed to make this spell . Also as a Bonus , one can obtain the Semi-Rare drop > Words of Sentient ( Beza ) which also drops on the Island . Just go and destroy all living creatures and reap the rewards . I hope to see the young Dead Heads grow and flurish , and bring Darkness and Pain throughout Norrath !!

I had Words of Detachment drop for me today from an icebone skeleton in Swamp of No Hope, at the ruins in the middle south of the zone. I posted the /loc under the notes for Words of Detachment.

i looked up the spell lists on casters realm and it said that this spell and most of the other research spells can be bought at a vendor but i dont know if this is true or not will someone help me

The useful thing about hunting on Erollisi Island in your youth (other than the fantastic wealth) is that you will eventually find a copy of Words of the Sentient(Beza).
Words of the Sentient(Beza) our rare words used in your 24th level research only pet buff: Intensify Death.
Irollisi Island can be found in the Ocean of Tears.

Over all, it's an ok pet spell. Granted, a pain in the butt to get and not required to be gotten. It's not needed, since you get a pet at Lvl. 20 anyways and another one at 29. Mostly, IMO, this spell is for thsoe who jsut find the components in regular play and want it or those who must have every spell in the game for their class.
Damage is ok, about as much as you'd expect from a pet. Casting cost is ok, not too much higher than the Lvl. 20pet.
Overall, it's an ok pet but not one that is necessary to have.

FYI Mages DO have to reasearch their pet, just not at this level. However, for class balancing purposes, look at it this way....each spell level for a few levels, Mages have four pets to research, where you only have the one. So grin and bear it, you don't get as shafted as you thought.
Also, some of your non-research spells are better then any reasearch spells Mages get, so suck it up and play the game the way it's given to you instead of whining about it on Alla. Don't like it? Re-roll as a Warrior.

just a word of advice if ya want the most from your pet run to bazaar before heading out and get yourself a nice 2h weapon my favorite is a weighty polearm with the 24 pet he can hit all day for 50 with a max that i seen of 58 the polearm you can get em cheap 20pp to 150pp if i cant get 1 for 20pp i get a centi short spear (or something like that)

Briella you can normally find the book of dark bindings in your home city at the necro quild
you can find where words drop by using the item look up on this sight it works very well and im off to lake of ill omen soon because of it . : )

I hope someone reads this somehow. I am a Gnome Necro and have no clue where to get my book of dark bindings so I can research spells. I have all the words, with some extras, but no book. Please let me know who, and where I can get my book from. Thanks
Should be a vendor close to Necro Guildmaster in your hometown (and every other town with a Necro guild) that sells the book

words of allure and possession in Highkeep. words of detachment in Castle Mistmoore. looted myself, so i know it for fact. hope that helps.
