Death Touch

For those that are wondering if this disc will stop Cazic Touch https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=982 aka death touch, it will not. Death touch is setup to be unresistable. How Sony makes this unresistable is it checks for a whopping -32k against your base saves and if you can't meet that, which you wont be able to, you take 32k damage. Our sanctification Discipline only adds a 10k positive modifier to our base save (more info can be found under the raw spell data link above). We would need this disc to stack 3 if not 4 times over to resist an unresistable spell.

This disc is great though as it will resist the majority of spells that come our way. Just Sony did a good job making sure that spells that are marked as unresistable stayed unresistable.

Does this protect against ae procs like the big
mobs use?
Resist ALL spells?

I think once I get this discipline, I will try and see if it works against mobs that use Death Touch. Would be nice to run in and be immune to the DT spell and start whacking the mob right away. PLUS...if this does make you immune to DT, you can make it safe for the rest of a raid by having the mob use the Death Touch spell and start the timer for the re-use of DT...becuase all mobs that use Death Touch can use it every so many ticks...not exactly sure though how often a mob can use Death Touch. But, those are my thoughts.
Thanks

Doh, thanks all. Have never been schooled on Discs and as of today, finally used the holyforge disc. Lv 60 and learned something new about my char. Always thought only pure melees get discs, oh well off to learn more!
This prolly on test

A discipline for a pally? hmm would like to see if it makes it live. And is it a spell resist from nukes and such? Would be pretty useful.

This is live and has been Nelile.

Paladins already have disciplines on the live servers and Sanctification is the one we get at level 60. The other disciplines we get are:

Resistant (raises all resistances for 15 seconds)
Fearless (unable to be feared for 15 seconds)
Holyforge (chance to crit against undead for 5 minutes)

The big question us pally's have is whether these will be linked to the upcoming melee changes so that these disciplines can be triggered more than once every 72 minutes and from what this new info is showing apparently it IS linked to our Endurance bar. WOOT!

Holyforge lets you critical on everything, despite the description saying undead only.

It does increase your chance to score a critical hit, but not by much. However, it does give you the chance to score a Crippling Blow as well, but the CB is only on Undead. *smiles*

"It does increase your chance to score a critical hit, but not by much.
