Gone in 42 seconds

42 seconds is the HOT time using this with 65 and under HOT spells. This also effects AA cast HOT spells for a 106second HOT using AA at 65 cleric max AA for HOT and Buff Extension. This aug was made less desireable after SOE changed all extended enhancement focus to cover 24 seconds. The old extended enhancement was 48 seconds and over, but this aug has always been 24 seconds and over. Extended Enhancement 5 from DON camp for 250 for the win!
EB4 & Zephyr of Brell

If I have Extended Blessing IV and Zephyr of Brell, will EB4 still work on spells under 48 sec duration but >= 24 sec duration?

Mainly wondering if, having the Blessed Coldain Prayer Shawl, this focus effect is still worth getting for my heal-over-time spells since they last 24 seconds.

Also, why do EB4 and Zephyr both list skill as Conjuration when they work on Alteration- and Abjuration-type spells?

Ok, here are the details that stick out to me, and I'll do my best to explain why this is still useful even though it won't stack with your 15%+ EE item.
First off, if two items have similar focus effects, only the most powerful one will be used; i.e. an EE4(15%) item will be ignored if you have the 8th Coldain shawl(20%).
EE items prior to this were limited to spells with a minimum duration of 48 seconds, afaik, so there are certain short duration buffs that EE items would not have any effect on. This EE is limited to spells with a minimum duration of 24 seconds. From personal experience, a tick is always rounded up by the game; i.e. a 4 tick buff with a 10% extension becomes a 4.4 tick buff which is allowed to be 5 ticks. The AA version of EE has no duration limit on it, so whatever you put into that will always modify any spell it effects. Now let's do some math.
A 4 tick buff with 50% AA extension goes up to 6 ticks. Prior to this aug, 6 ticks was pretty much your limit, afaik, for these types of buffs(Celestial Healing, Torpor types). With this aug you can get the duration up to 6(normal duration + AAs) + 0.4(for the 10% aug) = 6.4, which is then rounded up to 7. =)
I am by no means well versed in all the buffs that this aug would be useful for, but since it basically increases the mana efficiency of my HoT spells by 16.6% I think it is well worth the 1450.
Now all I gotta do is get the points. ;-)

SWEET POST ! I only wish it worked the way you say.
I must admit I was your #1 Fan and really wanted to believe that H.O.T. spells would be rounded up. I was very happy after the patch that would allow you to check the timers on your Buffs. At that time I had Extended AA-2 which added +15% and as expected my Heal over Time was clocked at 30 seconds.

***EDIT****

24 Second H.O.T. + AA % =

+5% EE-1 = +1.2 sec. 25.2 sec = 5 ticks/30sec.
+15% EE-2 = +3.6 sec. 27.6 sec = 5 ticks/30sec.
+30% EE-3 = +7.2 sec. 31.2 sec = 6 ticks/36 sec.

Soon after I upgraded to EE-3 and that is where the problem started. My H.O.T. spells were only going for 30 seconds ! My 31.2 second heal over time did not round up :( <sigh>

This has made me rethink this +10% Augment because if you cannot get that extra Tick out of your H.O.T. Spells then it is not worth the cost.

Hopefully I have just encountered a glitch that will be fixed soon. Keep your fingers crossed :)

Lucy's Stacking Chart
# Jan 09 2004 at 5:45 PM Rating: Decent
I couldn't figure out what Lucy meant by "slot 1" and "slot 2" either... I found no key which stated that slot ones and 2's can stack, or if slot 1's stack with eachother. Until I have a better idea of whether or not it *does* stack with my normal pre-ldon extended enhancement (15%), I wouldn't risk wasting 29 sucesses worth of points (at lvl 65) on this augment.

I looked this effect up on Lucy and really could not make heads or tails of the stackability chart; not listed in the first section, but listed in the second. If it does stack with extended enhancement... Ooooo baby. Anyone more adept at ready Lucy or even better know if it stacks or not? 1450 adventure points is not spent lightly.
