I've been using this spell on my necro for the past
little while, and it does indeed do what the in-game
spell description (see top of my post) says it
does. Don't bother buying the level 20 lifetap,
this one is much better.
And yes, it's 95-105.

this now says decrease hp by 102 - 105 is more powerful than the lvl 20 spell it appears or am i mis reading

If you look under the "Raw Spell Data" header you will see that it reads "Target Type: Lifetap."

Does this spell not increase hitpoints by 39(L12) to 45(L18)Self? Yes it does. The description is not perfectly accurate, it is half missing. You shouldn't have to read two places to get the info that could have been in one place. ;p </stfu>
If you look at the RAW spell data, gleaned directly from the game files, it DOES NOT say "increase hitpoints by 39(l12) to 45(l18).
The data listed above is taken directly from the raw data.
However, this page DOES say :

1: Decrease Hitpoints by 39 (L12) to 45 (L18)
AND
Target Type: Lifetap
about 4 lines beneath that.
This is exactly the way the spell is described in the raw spell data. If you don't like it, Take it up with Sony, not Allakhazam's. Just be thankful we HAVE allakhazam's to provide us with this data at all.

Do to 04/11/05(Date may be off a day or two) patch in which they have charged a large number off nuke's (including spells with nuke effects) the disciption as described, Description:
1: Decrease Hitpoints by 102 (L12) to 105 (L15)
stands correct. I verify this with my own SK whom in EQ reads as a 105 siphon. I also have used to spell to also verify it does nuke for 105 and taps 105hp back. this is all i have to say, so thinx for taking the time to read it.Ask questions if you like.
