I have today purchased this spell from the shar vahl merchant dar khura ahmih on the second floor in the building near the bank.

The NPC's name is Dar Khura Ahmih, and sells a lot of poison/disease related spells. And useful not just to good types - everyone starts off indiff in Shar Vahl, so there you go :)

thanks on the info, i now know not to recast a dot of the same type on a mob till the first wears off. seems a lot of mana to waste for the initial dd hit! live and learn, or not!

Dots of different types stack. Fire dots and poison dots will stack for example. Also the same dot cast by two different people will also stack, if two people both cast Venom of the Snake for example. With few exceptions (chilling embrace?) dots of the same type will not stack, heat blood will not stack with boil blood for example, wether cast by one person or different people.

In one of the patches, SOE made it so that multiple Shamen casting the same DoT would all be able to land one of the same DoT. So if three Shamen cast this spell on a MoB, it would get three poison DoTs on it.

I believe I tested stacking the different poison DoTs, Tainted Breath, Envenomed Breath, etc, and they WOULD stack. This was a long time ago though.
