Serpent's Spine Expansion changes
# Sep 24 2006 at 1:45 AM Rating: Decent
Woot an additional 34 atk over and above what Greater wolf form gave me...And it works indoors. This is huge. The new expansion makes this tradeable and researchable. I bought mine for 4k on povar. After purchase I checked and it's selling in the bazaar for 12k.
Run 5 vs. Feral form
# Jan 03 2006 at 11:30 PM Rating: Decent
would having feral form on slow u down if u had run 5? ive been told u can out run mobs in riftseekers if u had run 5 which is why i got it. Prior to that when i pulled with feral form on, my *** got chewed up.
RE: Run 5 vs. Feral form
# Jan 26 2006 at 12:17 AM Rating: Decent
Any speed modifying spell totally overwrites any of the Run AAs, regardless of which AA you have. If you have Shrew cast on you, that's the speed you're gonna be moving at. I know it sucks, but that's the way it is. I have Run 5 as well, though I dont have this particular spell yet, and will hate havin to move slower in order to get all the other benefits of this buff. But you know how it is; Sony can't let us have TOO much fun. =-)

Stack with SoE?
# Sep 23 2004 at 9:35 PM Rating: Decent
How does this work with Spirit of Eagle? Will they overwrite each other or stack?
RE: Stack with SoE?
# Sep 26 2004 at 1:46 PM Rating: Default
It doesn't, they are both movement increasers, one will not over-right the other. If you have SoE on, Feral won't stick and visa-versa.

What I do is SoE to the place I'm going drop and cast Feral

Agro isues?
# May 03 2004 at 5:37 PM Rating: Default
I am wondering if this spell will give me the same agro problems and my others with otherwise friendly npc's. Seems that WF is not liked well by many of the npc's on luclin and several other zones. Would love the ATK boost but running thru Trak in WF dang near got me killed as every froggy I ran by took off after me hell bent on killing me. I will buy this spell regardless, am hoping for some experiances from others with it already and how differant npc's reacted to them.

Thanks!
Not a bad spell
# Dec 15 2003 at 2:20 AM Rating: Decent
It is a fairly nice indoor spell but I think if I had to choose an indoor spell they could take back Pack Shrew and this one and give us Rangers an indoor Harmony of Nature spell. Just a thought though. =)
RE: Not a bad spell
# Apr 13 2004 at 4:55 AM Rating: Decent
We've long needed a Harmony spell usable indoors - why they continue to cripple our ability to pull mobs just because we've moved inside is puzzling. Feral Form, great spell, hope to be able to save up enough LDoN points some day to be able to get it!

This Spell is AWSOME
# Dec 08 2003 at 2:40 PM Rating: Excellent
I don't really care about the speed, vision or see invis. +65 Atk says it all.

+65 Atk = Vengeance 13 or XIII for those that maintain the Roman designation.

Rather than drop 510 ap on a Veng. III aug or this spell, I’ll take the spell.

Add a little GotF and I get the buff and not the agro.

Yeah, I think this spell is the best Ranger LDoN buy in the game.

#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 14 2003 at 9:05 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Frankly I find this spell to be just more Ranger fluff, did we really need another wolf form and at the cost of working our butts off to get it, I don't think so, give us something worth going after like Hawk form or Walking tree form with a astounding AC bonus, enough with the hairy four legged crap already.
RE: Another Wolf Form
# Oct 18 2003 at 10:23 AM Rating: Decent
why complain over more atk plus the ability have it indoors now?
RE: Another Wolf Form
# Oct 23 2003 at 2:45 AM Rating: Default
Because we already have several wolf forms and if you think the freaking extra atk is worth the effort then cheers to you, lol.

Why not complain when they give Rangers just another slap on the head, I think someone else could use one too.
RE: Another Wolf Form
# Dec 08 2003 at 1:34 PM Rating: Decent
Let me get this correct. You are a ranger and you would rather have ac than indoor usable attack buff? Ok, go back to playing your level 13 warrior.
RE: Another Wolf Form
# Oct 23 2003 at 8:04 AM Rating: Decent
mmmmm....i believe it's worth the effort yes.
1.indoor upgrade to greater wolf form: more atk, lasts for a longer time, adds ultravision)
2.slower than wf but faster than run3 (Shrew is simply useless in my opinion once you get the AAs since it's the same speed as run3)

640 points isn't too bad, since it's a spell i'll be using most of the time.
RE: Another Wolf Form
# Oct 26 2003 at 4:57 PM Rating: Decent
Feral Form is good for indoor wolf atk.
Pack shrew is worthwhile for its group ultravision.

If you find it to be a waste of time then dont get it... why whine about rangers having junky spells. If you choose a ranger you know you are 75 percent warrior 25 percent druid from the start dont whine about it 64 levels later...

personally I doubt I will buy pack shrew but I will save my AP for feral form.

stacking
# Sep 22 2003 at 8:33 PM Rating: Decent
Does anyone know if this stacks with Guardian of the Forest? If it does, do you turn back into humanoid after GotF fades or back into a black wolf? Also, can this be cast indoors?

The illusion fades when GotF drops, but your attack buff remains as though Greater Wolf Form or Feral Form is on, you just don't LOOK like a wolf anymore.

This is no longer true (sadly). When you have wolf form active and then pop GotF you get a message that the gotf-wolfform is blocked by "wolfform-wolfform". the buff effects both still stack though.

How many point for Feral Form?
# Sep 12 2003 at 11:37 PM Rating: Decent
Aaaarrrgh!!!! Now we have to hold on to all those adventure points until we figure out the cost. Once somebody gets enough points please post the cost. I suspect it will be like other spells and not be limited to points froma specific adventure camp.

I would prefer have Griffon Eye over this any day of the week. Why did they have to give rangers this spell instead?
It took me a few minutes to figure out why this was any good

Then I realized it can be cast anywhere, so that is also why the decreased movement rate. There are many indoor zones you don't necessarily want to be moving too quickly. Also, at 64 you'll probably already have Run3, so you don't want to go too far above that. I wish they had increased the ATK a bit though. I suppose the Human Rangers will rejoice in the Ultravision on this one, as well. I'm assuming this is another new LDON drop.

Get about 153 adventure points from MM and head to adventure merchant in BB. They have an Ultra Vision Augmentation that you can add to many items.
