Ok this is going to sound funny, but I have looked all over for this information. Does the enchanter just cast the spell, and if the perl and poison vial are in your bags.. then it combines and makes the mana vial... or does the enc put it in one of the trade skills equipment like the kiln?
Just cast the spell with the reagents in your inventory. You end up with the Vial on mana on your cursor.
What does this spell do? nobody ever said what it does. only where one can find it. do I cast a vial and drink it and get more mana like cannibalizing with a shammy? I assume that's what it does.

This is the spell used to make Vial of viscous Mana. It is used in tailoring to make Wu's Fighting armor of various types.

Hey enchanters ~ in case you need to go to brownie village ask a Druid to go in wolf form. My main is a druid and I've been there a few times. My new is an enchanter 12th lvl.
Found the spell in Highpass Keep on Krystalle Corsair (-92, -229) for 5p 6g 6s 9c

No more need for messing with Brownies...the above post is correct. The Erudite lady named Krystalle Corsair of High Keep (-95,-230 behind a closed door) sells this spell. She also sells 20 Crystallize Mana, 29 Clarify Mana, 39 Distill Mana, and 49 Purify Mana. This is nice and convenient since the pet spells are sold in a room just across the hall.

I've tried every illusion available to me at lvl 30, and none of them allowed me to purchase these spells at the Brownie Village.
Benevolence cast on the guards gets you to dubious, unless you're in Ogre form, where you're still at threatening.

what is this used for? can i create a vial of VM and give it to my other characters to help increase mana? if so, does anyone know the specs?

used in tradeskills. go to www.eqtraders.com and havea look around (for example, look at tailoring reciepes)
Vials of mana (viscous and others) are used for tradeskills, not for mana regeneration. Tailored Wu's armor is the first use that comes to mind for vials of viscous mana, but there are probably others.

Not always. When I went to get this spell I could only find it in the Brownie village.

They are found in the room across from where the pet spells are sold.

I am a 12 Lvl Dark Elf Enchanter, I jest bought the Thicken Mana from the merchent. This is how I did it. First I cast Alliance on the guards, than I cast Invisibility On myself. I went to merchent and than cast Minor Illusion On myself. I was able to buy the Thicken Mana. I than Gated Out.

This no longer works. You can use Alliance to get inside the brownie village, but no illusion will get you to anything better than dubious faction. At least none that I tried at lev 16 -- I suppose it's possible that the lev 39 spirit wolf illusion might work, but you probably want this spell before then.
Druid wolf form still works. Best bet is either have a friend pick up the spell, or get one to cast wolf form on you.

The enchanter mana spells are sold in the brownie village in Lesser Faydark. Common shopping methods are a) wolf form, b) enchanter faction-boosting spell on the guards outside, then minor illusion next to the merchant to shop (for enchanters below level 24), or c) illusion earth elemental (for enchanters level 24 and above)
Which merchant in the Brownie village actually sells this line of spells? What is his/her name please?
