How is this spell better than the level 59 Disease Pox of Bertoxxolous? They do exactly the same damage per tick and have exactly the same duration. Also PoB does 110 dmg when casted and cost less mana to cast...again how is this an upgrade this is junk.

THAT is why this spell is better. When you're doing root rotting you don't want any initial damage from the dot because it can break root. When you get Virulent Paralysis 3 aa you can keep the mob rooted forever (aa becomes available for re-use shortly before the effect wears off the mob) so dots that don't have any initial damage associated with them are the way to go...makes for very efficient soloing.

Base dam is 2366. Duration: 1.4 = 84 secs = 14 tics. 169 at lv 65 x 14 =2366 plus any extra damage from aa's or foci items.

wow 26 ticks, that makes this do 3406 dmg at lvl 65 and doesnt do enough dmg to take agro from your tank or pet, cool
