I know the PoP turn-ins can be kind of random, but, I've turned in about 50 of these and still have not gotten LoZ. Save your ethereal parchments for other alts or guildies and get this one researched. I should of figured since many Nec pet spells end up being on the rare side.

Avrorr, one of the most knowledgeable Necros and a good friend on Anyonae Ro server worked all this out...

pet is lvl 60
has close to 4k hp (a little shy it seems)
regns about 100 hp per tick
life taps (amount unknown)
hits max for 73
bashes for 25
Enrages when it gets to 20% health
Shilds me when I got to 30% or lower (havn't seen it do the same in groups yet for toher members but talking to other necro's it shilds group mates as well if they go too low)

Even vs Pop tier one mobs (when slowed) he makes a good tank. For old world agains mobs that are still dark blue he doesn't do badly considering no healer.

Enjoy!

I was startled to see that the EoT began shielding me while I was in a group in Acrylia caverns. I didn't even know EoT could shield. It's only ever happened once. But, since EoT can shield even if you're in a group, I assume LoZ will too.

LoZ-Value for money

Legacy of Zek though, is incredible value for money in comparison to Emissary of Thule. On the Rodcet Nife server, EoT sells for around 10-15k on average. LoZ on the other hand, sells for 6k average.

My point is, that as far as the money goes, I no longer see why I should pay double the money for a pet that has less hitpoints, and does less damage, when I can have LoZ, who also has a habit of enraging (I've seen it) at low hp's. When in the enraged state, its almost invulnerable.

I'm not going to waste my money on EoT. LoZ is godly.

Good hunting.

Sure, there is no point in buying a level 59 pet when you are level 61.... but if you are NOT level 61, if you just ding to level 59, that means you have to spend 2 more levels with the crappy monk pet that dies in 2 second in any PoP or even old world blue mobs. Sure, you could use your level 49 pet, but even he doesn’t have that many hp and it's AC sucks (takes max damage way to often and gets waked left and right) so the extra hps don't mean that much. On top of that he misses about half the time he swings against PoP mobs. so yes, if you are level 60 then it may be worthwhile to wait until level 61 (unless you are rich), but if you just ding to level 59, you may want to consider getting the EoT pet, it makes a world of difference.

/signed. I don't know how I would have made it through 59 without EoT. 60 however, took me an hour and 15 minutes to complete. Sick xp bonus at 60. It is a vaild point though, that really you're only going to be using EoT for 59. If you haven't gotten it by the time you are halfway through 59, you probably shouldn't bother. Once you hack your way through the misery of 59, 60 pops by in a blink, and then you have LoZ who rules.

Despite that, I got EoT for 5k at level 58, and it was 5k well spent. The price on it is dropping fast now that LoZ is around to pressure it. I've seen it in Saryrn bazaar for 1k at times.

I never had EoT as on my server it cost 25-35kpp just for EoT. I have seen more LoZ for sell than the EoT lately as I guess the randomness of the Etheral Parchments give you the LoZ spell as opposed to EoT found in Old Seb. I paid 9kpp for LoZ on Luclin server and even saw it last night for 7kpp. In my opinion it was worth skipping the cost and using the lvl 49 pet til 61 to get LoZ ( saved me alot of money). But all I have to say is that soloing with this pet fear kiting is awesome. Yes I still solo at lvl 61 and I hove even fought in groups in PoN, PoI, PoD and Umbral Plains as the pet was the tank and the cleric or druid CH's the pet at 20% health. I don't think the EoT could last as long as LoZ. Just my opinion

to be honest with everybody im disappointed with this spell. Emissary, after it was upgraded, wasnt much worse than this. it hits the same, is only about 5 levels lower, has the same lifetap proc (and procs just as frequently), and does only slightly less damage. when aggrokiting, i prefer to use Emissary than LoZ, in the off chance my pet gets mob aggro or an add.. less aggro generated by a pet that doesnt hit quite as much.

of course, it takes longer to kill the mob.. but we have running 35 a tick mana regen. who's griping? =)

# Apr 27 2006 at 2:48 AM Rating: Decent
5 levels lower? I believe the EOT(lvl 49) is actually 11 levels lower than the LOZ(lvl 60), which is quite a difference.

I got news for you. EoT has his butt kicked by LoZ. I was in Veksar the other day soloing at the IZ and on the whole, my pet will get owned without some major help keeping him up. LoZ can solo a mob at the iz and only be down 2 orange health bars. I also think EoT is more than 5 levels lower. I know he used to be level 47, but since his upgrade he might be as high as 52, but that still is 9 levels (actual) than LoZ. That is a huge difference in how much dmg he sustains against higher level mobs.

Only 5 levels lower? That's like sauing I'm going to take on Rallos Zek by yuorself at level 65. Sure it's an NPC but when your 60 try to take on a level 65 PC, it just doesn't work.
