all POP spells can be researched.. look at the spell ,, under it it will tell (researched ) click it.. i research all spells up to lev 70.. all classes but Tombs ,
My regular duo partner and myself love this spell. I cast it on myself (for the dex) whenever I want to use my Worker's Sledgemallet for the gate proc.
Funny thing is... no one else wants the spell on them. Maybe 1 out of 50 people in a grouping situation and most of the time it is a rogue or a ranger that lets themselves feel the pumpkin power.
The usual reason given is "Illusions are annoying". Maybe there is a more reasonable list of cons for this spell?

This spell is ungodly. I can see some as being so vain, but, still, com'n!
I love this spell! It's my favourite! And usually, I don't have the best procs anyways...but if you're gonna proc, you might as well proc SOMETHING rather than nothing, though, this is a bit weak. Love the Attack and Dex. mod!

Kinda sad the proc is only for 35 hit points, IMO a 35 lifetap doesnt really do much to Plane mobs afterall =\ --http://allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=196--
As for the spell it can be obtained via Enchanter PoP spell turn in (With Spectral Parchment turn ins to your friendly neighborhood PoK Enchanter spell vendor)
I have seen it sold quite often in the baz, sometimes the prices are rather outrageous (500-2k ish) I did see it once for 120pp, I are ****** and didnt buy it *drool*, thinking I would not get to 63 within the next few months, and to just save the money. Well, two weeks after making that statment, I am 63 and with no NDT, due to none being sold at this time
So todays lesson is, "only you can prevent forest fires"

Incorrect. At least on Zeb you can cast on pets. Kept on 2 tanks, shammy pet and necro pet last night.

acutally u can cast in on anyone even if they are not in group i do that all the time and even their pets. they is a lower limit to the spell 40ish i thhink maybe so maybe not
Not quite right cause about 5 or 6 days ago I had this cast on my pet by a chanter friend of the group I was in. Was nice to see my pet with a graphic other then the floating swords.

Maybe this chanter in your group had the AAs for illusion others...
NDT is the only illusion that can be casted on others while NOT in their group, atleast that I know of.

As of the patch of 4/23/03, Night's Dark Terror recieved its illusion back. I just saw my 65 Ench friend running around in G'Fay with it, heh. ^.^

See above........Click on the link and it will tell you. The illusion provides an added combat proc which is a lifetap that will drain up to 60 points from a mob and give it to the wearer of this illusion.

what is the level limit on this, and could someone verify that it is indeed a scarecrow and does indeed last 16 minutes? (nice upgrade to boon..)

They removed the illusion due to faction issues. It does last 12 minutes, and yes it is a very nice upgrade to Boon :)
Of course, this spell also gives the appearance of a scarecrow, along with the above mentioned additions to the stats.

Oh - I also understand that you can actually cast this on your own pet. A 65 Chanter friend told me that he does it all the time. Not sure if this is correct, but he told me that it was, and that the pet gets all the nice bonuses as well. I'd use it on a DC pet, but prolly not a regular charmed one...

You may want to look at the date he posted, it was BEFORE they readded the illusion to the spell so that entire post made you look kinda lame.
