You can so tank as an enchanter with this spell. Not that you would want too but you could if you wanted...I havent really tried to tank much honestly but was tanking in tactics, BoT and other PoP zones...Not really something to be proud of but just letting you know its fun lol....

You can rune heal yourself with this spell! I was in PoV, and an unslowed mob just would not get off me. I ended up chain casting this on myself through the fight, and I know I would've died without doing that. Of course, I was at 10m at the end of the fight, but worth it =)

One thing that a lot of folks don't notice about the Rune spells as a whole. During the "invulnerability" of the Rune, you cannot be stunned or have your casting interrupted by meelee. That buys you a few extra seconds for a Mez or a couple of good Boggles to get it off your face.
Mana cost's a pain though. Load up on the crack options though, and this spell is ungodly powerful. Used to be that my wife (Cleric) would have to heal me after every five or six battles (those resisted Mezzes add up eventually). Now, she often won't have to heal me at all during a session unless we don't have someone who can cast Regen spells.

You can still be stunned even though you have a rune up.
Incorrect...you can be interrupted while casting even though the damage doesn't hit you.

If you get only 1 spell at lvl 61. Get this one. This spell make it possible for me to slow a mob when it is at 98% and not see the "now returning to bind point. Loading please waits".
And If that’s not good enough reason to get this spell, it does not require the expensive gem to cast.
At lvl 61 you should NEVER EVER go to battle without first casting this on your self.
For once Vernt did something right for us.

You'll shout for joy once you get this spell. I die a LOT less now that I have this. Heck, even the AE of dragons take a while to punch through this.

This spell stack with rune 1 6, don t need components, and stack with bedlam line spell.
let make mathematics.
Rune 6 = 850 hp
Arcane = 1500 Hp
Bedlam = 350 hp
Here u have an extra of 2700 hp )
I let u find how u culd use them, all i know is this, i have 3450 hp full buffed with the Virtue line spell buffing , culd be better with Pto9 ones
Add the extra different rune ... u got it ...
Full buffed and full rune up chanter has 6150 hp ...

Arcane Rune will not stack with Eldritch Rune.
Rune 1-6+ will stack with either AR or ER.
So just be warned before you spend points into the skill Eldritch Rune thinking they stack like I did.
Also, this spell is really great in pre PoP zones and a must buy if you don't have it at 61.

Ok Rune V requires a peridot to cast. Does this spell require one as well?
