Please, keep thinking this way. I would prefer if no one else wants these gloves :)

If you had only one spell that was cheap to cast, which one would you use? This effect makes a necromancer's highest damage nuke more efficient to cast. It's not like you're suddenly a wizzy, but when you're in a group or raid where fights are going too fast for DoTs to be effective, you can add an unbeivably huge amount of DPS by casting this 2/3 fights and a lifetap (to feed lich) the third.

Add that to what your pet does and then throw in an ID4 item and you put out some serious hurt for very little mana (with SCM3, Alteration spec, and this, you're talking about 41% off the base mana cost!)

Neurotoxin costs 465 mana base. It costs 275 to cast at 41% off. With an average mana pool for the level, this should barely put a dent in your reserves, and with mana regen of oh-god-awful per-tick, you can pretty much cast two of these per fight for the base cost. Assuming you get a crit 7% of the time for double (SCF3), that's an average of 4420dmg/fight, with ID4 that's an average of 5304. If you would prefer NOT to do that damage, that's fine, but I think you may want to reconsider, since on a mob with 20khp, you're now doing 1/4 of the mobs HP by yourself SUSTAINABLY, and THEN you're adding in your pet's damage.

But, you're right. It IS only one spell....

Very well said. Some people just seem to look at all the negatives and never think about what the positives might be.

Hopefully everyone will think this way and the price will plummet ;)

Only in a perfect world though, I suppose, lol.

Am I missing something? Does this save mana only on the spell Neurotoxin? If it is only on neurotoxin this is worthless. My 65 necro never uses that spell. Or is this good for all spells?

Obvously not a raiding necro or one that does many adventures or trials.
Good luck doing more than say..... 1300+ damage with your dots during a 1-2 minute fight. To do more you would need to use 3-5x the mana as you would using neurotoxin. This spell is perma-memmed. You people really need to learn your class, you may be AMAZED at how diverse and truly powerful you can be.

This has been my mantra for the last 2 years. Learn your class...I keep running into Mages that don't have their focus item summons because 'I'm already wearing a focus item for that...' or enchanters who never got Gift of Magic or Intellectual Advancement 'cos they don't do anything'.

I ran into the weirdest thing the other day on Test...a Druid that absolutely refused to heal. He was like 'I'm not a healing class' and kept charming animals and having to zone, or screaming /y /y /y over and over again when charm broke. I asked him why he wasn't snaring and he was like 'What's Snare?'...I'm all for helping the new guys, but in this instance...*punt from group*.

Does this stack with ALL other mana regens? I.e. FT, C3, PotG, BAotR, SP? If so then ya this is a phat effect for an item.

they changed it awhile ago to stack with potg and baotr it always stacked with c3 ft items and sp, i think the only reason they changed it is because they put the effect on something from vt.
