class envy, Hephatus. Play a mage and put up with the 'can I have a bracer/ring/mod rod' requests all day.. then finally get a chance to feel useful, but dont dis a class because of what they've earned.

Nice to see that mages are nukin like wizards now, wtf is VI thinking giving a mage this, they say its cuz fights will be fast and the more dmg the better, well if ur gonna make the mob req. a fast takedown, give amges low dmg fast casting spells, not high dmg slow cast mana efficient stuff

I have to comment on this: If you hadn't guessed, mages were nuking better then wizzies from level 34 to level 49. we had nearly the same nukes, with the added bonus of the focus items. we also happened to be more mana efficient due to the focus items. The truth is, until wizzies get ice comet, mages are equal, with pets but without snares or ports. Nukes have never been a reason to choose between mages and wizzies, it's all about the fringe benefits. Heck, even chanters and clerics can nuke.
In small groups out in the open, a mage is much better off, however in closed in areas, large groups, and needing the evacs, wizzies are much better to have around. ALthough mages are good to have around for other things as well, on raids, I supply focus items and do the CotH thing. I'm not really much use offensively though.
Simply put, everyone has their place. Learn to live with it or start over on another class.
