So you almost have to be in a raiding guild to get this spell? well i am not in a raiding guild so how am i going to get this spell? withone leaveing my non-raiding guild??
i cant find this spell in the bazaar ,so maybe i have to wait and kill the mobs ,,heck i'll be lvl 70 + befor i ever get it
get used to putting more effort than /bazaar into getting your spells.
Ok well this spell drops from luclin mobs so maybe it came out before PoP and all the over 60 level spells? In fact it was the only lich spell for sks before PoP so thats why it's worth more. If you don't want to have a complete spell book then just wait for the higher level ones. I Got this for my Sk twink because it's fun and I like to have complete spell books.
Actually isn't there a spell like this that drops off some guy in Chardok? Lower level but still.

Shroud of Undeath (Battle Master, Chardok) is Shroud of Death (proc spell) + icebone skeleton form.
Other than the shape change, it has nothing in common with this spell.
I can't find any spell research info on this, so guessing that the recipe has not yet been discovered.

I finally got this spell last night on Maelin Starpyre server for 4k now i just have a few lvls to go before i can use it but at least i got it LOL. anyway when i finally get to use it i will report back on my discoveries about its uses and such.

I have yet to see this spell on the Maelin Starpyre server i guess nobody needs it or even knows about it but i really would like to have this spell so I'm paying 2k for it so if anybody ahs it and would like to sell it send a tell to Siniktik and i will gladly hand over that 2k
great spell but the lvl's required to get it seem a bit high considering the 61-63 spells can be one grouped or solo'd depending on class. I understand that this is some crappy attempt to get raids going but with oow/don getting enough together to kill one of these named is almost impossible. Perhaps if they made it easier to get or allowed it to stack with the clarity line.
Great points and excellent examples how SOE bumbles onward with the skill of a homocide detective in the Arubia Police Dept. Back in the old days the designers would have taken this into account.

This spell dropped from the Cursed boss in the Cursed Cycle (forget how to spell his name) in the basement of SSRA. V-something the Cursed.
It was my second raid to SSRA, and the second time we did the Cursed. Didn't drop the first time, but it did drop this time.
EDIT: Vyzh`dra the Cursed is the mob's name.

Update for all you SKs out there. Saw this in Baz on Povar for, get this 25k last night. More than the lvl 64 version of this spell. Go figure ehh.

This spell is far from usless, I just hit 58 recently and have found many uses. Its a nice spell to have without a chanter in group, it stacks with beastcrack, nice spell overall.

I guess i got lucky... when my guild disbanded... I was given this spell :) when i hit 58 ill let you know my opinion

Recently purchased this spell for 5k in Baz on Brell, woke up one morning saw 2 copies, 1 for 5k and 1 for 20k. Thought what the hell, why not buy it, i know peeps say it sucks...well it doesnt.
1- only 5m to cast
2- Ultravison
3- Skelly Illusion
4- For those who think Luclin character models suck, being in Skelly form enables you to use your horse
5- The mana regen may be only 6 per tick but my mana seems to go up very nicely now
6- losing 16hp per tick is not all that much considering standing up at level 62 i'm regening at about 11(have regen 3) per tick so in reality i'm losing only 5 and its not even noticeable.
Stacking issues:
1- Doesnt stack with C3, not really a problem, this spell is great for when u dont have C3
2- Stacks with mental corruption and shroud of death

I bought this spell from someone in the Bazaar..I feel it is not worth the plat I paid.
First..you cannot cast this spell if you have a clarity on you.
Second..No clarity, (Like c3,c4,or c5)can take hold onto you if you have this on.
In short, this spell is only good for when your clarity drops, then it is not that much mana regen. I prefer to have spent the plat on mana regen equipment instead of this spell.
Wish the spell description had mentioned it will not stack.

I have been checking the Casters Realm and other siyes for any clues as to if this is researchable <sigh>. Nothing as of yet I am sorry to say. If anyone has any more info please post asap.

From what i hear now, Deathly Temptation is now Researchable, along with all other lvl 60 and lower spells. Spells such as Torpor and all other are now researchable, making Deathly Temptation researchable as well, i hope to see it out there so i can get the recipe and get a free combine from a friend who has a 200 skill at research... just my 2 cents worth.

I really do hope what you say is true, but last I looked hybrids still have no class that can do research for them. Admittedly it would be nice if necros could do sk spells, and for pallies... well do i dont know any real good use for pallies maybe they cast spells maybe they dont, mostly i like to see them fed to dragons to fatten em up, or chuck them at trains to slow em down long enough for me to derail it ( ok ok was just a little friendly sk humor) but seein that pallies have no parent class that can research it doesnt look good at the moment. If hybrid spells do become reseachable i think they would solve it like they solve everything else at verant give research, complete heal, port, nukeage, and dual wield to druids. Sorry that last part just came out but give em enough time and see if it doesnt happen
This post is a mix of sour grapes, use of duel boxes, guilds, and anger ( i have alot of anger, good for the sk type i guess) but it seems that to even get this spell you have to be guilded or extremely lucky because first wandering around in ssra at 55-60 is unlikely to get into a pickup raid for a rare/uncommon spawn depending who you ask. If you arent in a guild and ask in on raids several times you will be told the first spell is claimed for a twink/alt/vender/guild vault/lvl 57 sk attending raid/etc. Next the overall effect of 16 hp for 6 mana seems suprising weak considering lvl + it doesnt stack with c3, im unsure if it stacks with any of the other mana regen buffs makes this spell seem particulary ineffective when compared to the 50 plat (or less if yer a tight fisted *******) you can spend to get c3 20% or more extended duration lasting well over 2 hrs, i mean i could understand the rarity if this spell stacked or had a good ratio, or magically gave you the ability to gate or bind, but the 25k-40k price tag i see for this on brell would be much better spent buying c3 and armor, the fact i currently have a 60 chanty with kei on a 2nd comp cant help my opinion in the matter either. So /rude verant for making yet another spell which is really useful for the troll/ogre who doesnt want to bother with a shrink device. Me im gonna wait till lich drops from 255 lvl to 62 or so
