I understand that this song is an overhaste song and that it stacks with other regular haste songs/spells but here's my question. This spell increases haste v3 by 15% so does that mean that it will stack with the lvl 50 v2 haste song called "Melody of Ervaj" for a total of 20% overhaste? And also will wielding say a 2.0x brass instrument turn this into 30% overhaste, stacking with Melody of Ervaj for 35% overhaste? Please help me figure this out as I've seen no one point out that there are both v2 and v3 overhaste songs.

According to the guide on EQDiva an equipped instrument will only affect the stat portion provided by some haste songs. So to answer part of the question, no an equipped instrument does not mean more haste. However you can use one of each type of haste of haste(V0=worn, V1=spell haste, V2=stackable haste and V3=Stackable and overhaste)...So to answer the other part of the question you can stack the haste from your V2 and V3 songs.

Ok, I know what haste is but what is haste V3? Does this haste stack when just regular hastes won't or what? I don't quite understand these songs. Can someone please fill me in?

Not only will this song stack with other spell haste effects, but it also counts as so-called over haste, meaning it allows the targets to breach the haste cap (100% at 60th and beyond.)
