Stacks

Stacks with the earlier level self attack buff, fireblade. Throw that in with greater wolf form for 100+ extra attack!
chloroplast

Just another little piece of info to add to which route to u take. Chloroplast doesnt stack with FON..

This is what I have it stacked with

By the way I'm only 55 and get this spell with the Planestriders breast plate :) (see Ornate Chain)

WP + FON + SpikeCoat = 28DS + 5Rgn + 85atk + 38ac

Or

WP + Cloro + SpikeCoar = 25DS + 10Rgn + 70atk + 38ac

WHo cares if you cant get your Shield of spikes to stack with this you've still got a higher DS on without the Shield of spikes. (Though if it did stack that would rule :)

I'm happy...
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 12 2004 at 4:05 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Sorry to be offensive but by the time anyone sees this bp as a ranger the effect is about as useful as SoW... This is very similar to the velious bp's getting heals while rng bp gets CoE. While CoE was useful since you could cast it on group/guild mates, Warders protection does not stack with any 60+ spells. Personally i used this spell for about 2 weeks. Rangers got ganked again..

It's even better still!

For one thing, not all rangers have Call of the Preditor because it's not readily available in bazaar, and involves some tough fights to loot.

And Secondly, 350mana does seem a lot, but it covers just over 20 doses of Shield of Spikes! Thats the equivilent saving of roughly 1650 mana over 2 and a half hours.

The only real downside is that the individual sections of the spell can't be overridden by other's buffs. In otherwords, we can get the SoS part to be replaced by mage's DS, so we may often miss out on a few things when using it.
you missed something

You fail to mention Warder's Protection will stack with Nature's Precision 15ATK and Force of Nature 5Regen / DS3 / ATK15. These spells do not stack when you have CoE, SoN, CoP, and SoS.

WP + NP + FoN = DS24 + ATK85 + AC13 + HP75 + 5Regen

Compare those to the stats of CoE, SoN, CoP and SoS instead. The choice is still yours.

CoE = DS4 + AC25
SoN = ATK25 + HP75
CotP = ATK40
SoS = DS17

CoE + SoN + CotP + SoS = DS21 + ATK65 + AC25 + HP75

WP = DS21 + ATK70 + AC13 + HP75

WP = CoE + SoN + CotP + SoS + ATK5 - AC12

Warder's Protection won't stack with Call of Earth, Strength of Nature, Call of the Predator, or Shield of Spikes.
It combines 4 buffs into 1 self buff, thus saving 3 buff slots for other things.
By using WP instead of the 4 separate buffs, you're trading AC12 for ATK5, which should be fine unless you're tanking.
Only downside of this spell that I've noticed is that if you're in the habit of buffing others with those 4 spells (as I am), you'll have to keep track of when they're gonna fade instead of just rebuffing when they fade on you.

Probably like a lot of new 60 Rangers, I was trying to work this out for myself. You've done it for me ;-)

Thank you for that fine explination, Went. Clears up a lot of potential confusion.

Guess I'll have to finally add a timer to my UI. LOL

I like this spell, and indeed the whole range of one-spell combined buffs we get, but the irritating thing is that that AC/ATK tradeoff is the wrong way around.

This spell is essentially a soloing spell - saves mana, buff space, time, etc etc to not have to recast 4 other spells, some of them group ones. In which case, the emphasis should really be on AC over ATK (13 points is a fair bit, you'd be quite happy with a 13 point LDoN AC aug).

As it is I find myself using this in raids and groups, and the other four soloing (or if its an easy solo, this to be lazy). I think that is the problem most people have with the spell - instead of makeing life easier, it actually makes it harder, as you have to cast this + group spells in group, and don't get the single cast buff you really want for solo.

Now Protection of the Wild is a different matter, that one is fine by me =) Or will be when enough BoT giants have died for me to get it.
Does it stack?

Does this spell stack with the rest of the ranger buffs?
RE: Does it stack?

This spell overwrites any lower or equal level ranger buff : Mark of predator, call of earth, even Call of predator is overwrited by it. Note that no DS beside your self DS will stick with this up. This spell rings the end of your buff window packed and will save you from removing buffs to keep one free slot for over time beneficials.
