Confirmed. I bought it in Shadow Haven from Daekos Ferinsalo, but only for 3plat, 1 gold, 4 silver, and 9 copper.

Prices depend on faction and charisma. If you have indifferent faction with the NPC merchant and you have 103 charisma (or higher), then you should get the merchant's best price.

If your faction is higher, you can get by with less charisma to get the best price.

If your faction is lower, then you need more charisma to get the best price.

If your faction is dubious or lower, then you need a faction adjustment to at least apprehensive in order to buy from the NPC merchant.

I am a 19 gnome with apprehensive faction and 116 CHA, I got this spell for 3.3 PP... I've never seen such a big price range for any items... They must have changed the prices like they did with mandrake.

I have tried to purchase this spell but Daekos won't sell it to any of my characters, all of which are good aligned. What do I need to do?

I just bought this spell of ol' Daekos without a problem with my dwarf cleric. Daekos is human so maybe you have stacked up some bad faction with some of his buddies. Anyway, as the find feature doesnt work in SH, I thought I would post the /loc of this guy, which is 22.96, 274.19, -21.49. And for those of us who hate using /loc, he is located near the PC entrance in the same building as the Cleric GMs, who by the way are a snotty lot as they refused to train my little dwarf!

Sounds like you need to do the faction quests for SH before you can buy from that vendor...see the links in quest section for more details :)
Great line of spells

With the heal over time spells the caster get considerably less aggro compared to normal heals. With spells of this line I find I can practically chain heal with little to no aggro. I think it is silly that more clerics don't use these spells in groups, I have seen quite a few clerics get upset from aggro death when it could have been avoided.
Thx

This spell kicks butt in PC , my 23 cleric is never out of mana when healing the group because it heals for like 400 all added up. so once every so and so battles your mana will be up and heal the group tanker easy? much hope this helps.
It is useful.

Well, my cleric is only level 11, but I have 2 50+ toons. In my experience, if you have a multiple mob pull (especially with no or slow crowd control), you may (most likely will . . . but I'm an optimist) find yourself trying to heal multiple tanks (we hope they are tanks anyway). When this happens, I would consider it a blessing to be able to use this heal over time on one tank while then casting Healing (etc) on a second tank.
Good point!

Thanks for your reply! As I almost exclusively duo with my brother(Paladin)and rarely group with anyone else, that had not occurred to me. I knew there had to be something i just couldn't figure it out.
Am I missing something?
# Feb 25 2003 at 5:43 PM Rating: Decent
Other than the large amount of HP you could cast in one spell in an emergency, I cannot see what advantage one might have in casting this spell over the level 14 Healing spell. Healing costs approximately 80% as much mana per hit point at level 19 and the ratios stay roughly the same all the way up to 30 - so what am i missing? Can the extra mana be recovered in those 3 ticks? Just researching my spells before i get 'em, so i know what they do ahead of time

The heal over time line create less aggro than the big heals. I have noticed quite a bit of differance in the amount of aggro this line creates over a heal that does the same amount all at once.
