Verna Leinar in Abysmal Sea has this spell and all other teleportation spells (Yes, all of them except Teleportation since that's a PoP turn in) available for purchase. Her loc is -48, -132, 100 in a room with a common spell and beastlord spell vendor.

Confirmed... Verna does NOT sell Grimling Gate. She sells Grimling Portal, but not gate.

she does not have grimling gate, she has a lot but not all
You live and then you die...... the in between is where you make the most of it.
Not true, I just bought grimling off of her for a wizard. It's just near the bottom of the spells, not in order by level at the top.

Dunno if Verna Leinar had this spell before or not, but as of 6/14/04, she does not. She has NO 20th level Wizard "**** gate spells" Lowest level she has is 24.
