SK/Necro?

Since this says
Quote:
5: Limit: Spell Type(Beneficial only)
does that mean it won't affect Necro and SK lifetap lines? Since those are technically detrimental. I thought I'd ask here before I just run out and buy an IH item, since they're all so expensive.

it says that:

4: Limit: Instant spells only

doesn't that mean that the spell has to have an instant cast time to be affected by this?or do i understand it wrong?

This means that a spell such as "celestial healing" or "regeneration" (healing over time) will not be affected. Instant cast means that is heals for a certain amount of health once per cast... ie: healing, greater healing, etc.

nope. remember this is the descriptor for the focus effect, not the healing spell it will adjust. The focus effect is self only, not the heal spell cast.

It affects Minor Healing, Light Healing, Healing, Greater Healing, and Superior Healing, but not Complete Heal/Healing. Complete Heal is coded to heal 10,000 points of damage automatically (more than any player could possibly have, right now anyway), so modifying that by 20% could cause problems. Also, they just may not have seen it necessary to "improve" Complete Heal.

For Druids who have done the healing water spell quest, it will be helpful for quite awhile, til you reach Choroblast, then you won't want to use it. Improved healing II, as mentioned, will only effect healing water. (reason Healing water was created in the first place)
Base
Healing Water lvl 44 mana 200 time 4 sec 425hps

Sup Healing lvl 51 mana 250 time 4.5 sec 583hps

Choroblast lvl 55 mana 175 time 3 sec 428hps

Once you recieve Choroblast you'll spam cast on the MA of your grp, and use Supiorior healing to help. As a druid 57th, I much rather have a cleric in the grp, so that I'd be able to Dot, chain nuke. Cleric's are rare, so with Healing water, a druid becomes more of a Cleric then a druid. In a well formulated group (Pacify puller, shammy slow, Ench mezz, fast and hard melee damage dealers) a Druid will do an excellent job subing as a cleric.

I have a question, Archaice said above that this focus effects Superior Healing. I am wondering, as I am a druid and get Sup Heal at 51, not before 44, will this work for me? I would HATE to have to get a Improved Healing III item just to get 20% more from my heals!

In case you are wondering why I want a healing focus effect, I find that most of my grouping puts me as either MH or Backup Healer. Superior healing does ok for some hybrids and casters, but I was healing for a 59 Pally last night and I THINK my Sup Heal moved his bar about a bubble! OUCH considering the mana it takes to cast that puppy!

Before I fork over the cash to buy this item, I'd like to know it helps.

:hopes to heck it does!

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Lucky for us Druids the new LoY spell is lvl44 and with this effect it will allow our us to heal for 510HP (with effect only 425) which i think is great for a "back up" heal. Im just waiting to ding 2 more. So that Book of Obulus can have a real effect on healing.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but Improved Healing II (2) will not affect Superior Healing if you get it at 51 (like druids and shaman do). He was just talking about which spells it would work on if the levels fit into the restriction (as Clerics get Sup Heal at 34, so it'll work for them). You're going to have to go out and find something with Improved Healing III (3) at least if you want the effect to work on Superior Healing.

This spell also affects the yellow bar stamina
by removing all of yourselve's and your group's yellow bar stamina, but the benefit is much greater than the loss because it debuffs the target and adds stamina to you and your group.
