this spell raises your wis/int, whatever you need for castig. with higher wis/int your spells fizzle less and you can advance skills and abilitys that relate to your wis/int scores faster(trade skills, offence, defense, duel weil, ect...).

right now when im looking at this spell it says increase wisdom and intelligence by 0, just thought that was kinda funny
You guys have too much imagination. Use the EQ Caster program that reads the spell files. "Decrease Fizzle Level by 3". This is with all patches and complete file checks up to today. You guys want to know things and toss around theories, why not get the tools to look it up and be sure?

I noticed when I have this cast on myself, I seem to "cast through" hits more often.
The scary thing about some of these new luclin spells is that noone can really agree on what the devil they do. so, to add fuel to the fire, this is what i've heard/have noticed for this spell.
Intellectual advancement increases your medding skill, so you regen mana faster while medding.
Intellectual advancement decreases your chances of Fizzle when casting
Intellectual advancement increases your chances of sucess when tradeskilling.
There you go, have fun. I think the first 2 are accurate, and the tradeskills isn't. but then again, it could be my own bad luck following me into Everquest.

the sol eq guide from prima says it reduces fizzle rate by3lvls(intellectual adv) and 6lvls(superiority). i could be wrong....i thought at first it was skill based(not just trade skill but offense/defense(offense went up2 points in 3 swings....i was color stunning and might as well swing away)....but since i have kept this on(since sol came out) ive had maybe 2-5fizzles)

just remembered...the guide says 3lvls and 6lvls....im not sure wether that means lvl 12 casts as 15(5points per lvl making 75points in channeling cast as 90).....or a channeling skill of 75 casts as 78.....

My belief is that this line of spells is a Trade Skills Buff. I have noticed that I get more skill advances when these spells are on me, then when not.
