Based on the wording of the two procs (rage of vallon & rage of zek) you would think they would have close to equal hate generation -500.

However, I've noticed substantially more agro from 2 handed version of the weapon *when it procs*...perhaps the .dat files are out of date? Seems like the 2 hander proc != the 1 hander agro generation. /shrug just an observation & purely subjective in nature.

1.incoming 'stun' on target
our (tank) rouge gets his timing down
runs behind mob when cast
and gets in a nice backstab or two
while mob just stands there
2. stuns mob for 8 seconds while you run for a zone
Pretty sure it is 15 hp per tick

I have recently dinged 56 and started using this spell. It is listed as 12 hp per tick, but I am pretty sure I have ben getting healed for 15. A few other pallys I have talked to also say it heals for 15 per tick. Not sure what the mana per tick is for sure though.

Don't forget you natural regen. The 12 is only part of what you are gaining back along with your natural regen that increases with certain levels.

This spell is self only if it isnt listed, i did not see it listed and wanted to let others know it cannot be used in duels or to mobs as such, takes away your mana to your hp.

Taunt
# Jun 19 2002 at 1:22 AM Rating: Excellent
Nobody here seems to understand, Lower on the Aggro list = better. here is a little scale:

No Taunt <--- Higher on the aggro list.
(casters/non-tanks here)
^

v

Major Taunt <--- Lower on the aggro list.
(tanks here)

if you dont understand that then sorry, best I can show on this little pad. So, an overview, 500 Points less on the aggro list will be MAJOR Taunt Factor. Hope this clears things up.

Think of it in terms of positive and negative numbers.

0=indifferent
<0=kos or hated
>0=non kos, or liked

thus, the lower you are on a mobs "faction" or "aggro list", the more the mob hates you. The higher you are, the more it likes you.

In short...its just like factions

+2000=Max Ally
+1500=Ally
+1000=Warmly
+500=Kindly
0=Indifferent
-500=Dubious
-1000=Threatening
-1500=Scowling
-2000=Max KoS

Same chart.

That said, the proc actually lowers you on the mobs "faction" rating. This is the same as "raising you" on the mob's hate list.

Great Control

Woot, I finally finished!! Let me tell ye first hand how I have found this weapon to be. I am lvl 57 and am MA sometimes or at least 2nd or 3rd tank. For sure, the dual wielding version seems to keep agro a bit better. With these weapons, it seems to be all about proc. With my shammy wife buffin me for battle, i have 240 dex, 255 str, and celerity so procs are often.
However, the 2H version does a fine job as well if ye give it a second to hit and proc as it is obviously slower. Last night I was hittin the IG's in EF with my wife slowing (huge agro), and a level 14 just there for fun and coin (huge agro), and a level 35 dual wielding warrior (large agro). As long as i got one hit in before anyone did anything, I usually kept agro 100%. If I could get a proc early I Never lost agro.
So far the only one including rogues to pull agro off me while using 2H version has been an epic'd monk, but as soon as it procs again, whammo, right back to me.
When it is vital that i keep agro, I do use the 1 handers, but dont be afraid to give the 2H a go as MA...ye might be surprised)

You the MA? Use SoD or Primals or Horn. If not however, this is a great weapon.

First of all it dose not say "REDUCE" it say LOWER.

If this was a -500 response, I would share in the moaning and groaning. but it isn't

To be lowered on the hate list is a good thing not a bad thing you'll get better control over the mob with this weapon....of course I would still like to have the primal gear instead.

Excuse me, but you obviously don't have on you'r glasses, as you can CLEARLY see. He said "NOT" at the end of every sentence. So just go see an eye doctor

Exactly. Warriors NEED to keep taunt, that's why they specify as "The Tank" class. Using the 1hs versions of the Warrior Epic is much better use for taunting. TRUE
Not for tanking
# May 04 2002 at 11:09 PM Rating: Default
What fool warrior would use this while wanting taunt? The idea of the blades is simple... use the double version when you're Main Tank, and the single when you are not. Think before you post.

Why don't you get your epic first before making a comment on it? And where are all you people reading this "Lowers you on current targets hate list by 500 pts"? All I'm seeing is it raises you on current targets hate list by 500pts. Not lowers. I also thought before that it was 1000pts, not 500? Did verant change it? The 2hander may be slow but most warriors would have a decent haste item by the time they finnish thier epic. And once the 2handers proc goes off, boom, theres your aggro maker. However if the epic warrior is grouping with lets say a epic rogue and a epic monk a 55+shammy who slows, and well lets put in more trouble for him, a epic ranger to, then the warrior would definantly have to use the 1handers and hope that he has at least 24% self haste or more on him. As for those who have thier epics allready, if you were given a choise to upgrade it, what would you choose? A 30% perment haste or a 250 dd. Or would you keep your epic as it is?
