Yep giving armour to your pet helps I tried this with the phantom plate armour and a lv8 water pet
and my pet was getting hit a lot less

This spell is a result of a quest. But its not really a quest give one of the four spells to gnome in FV and he will give it to you. A very useful spell.

In order to get this spell you have to turn in one of four spells (Gift of Xev, Bristlebane's Bundle, Quiver of Marr, and Scars of Sigi) to Hiptal Frizzleboth, or Slicia J`Singe, in firiona vie, and he will gove you a random spell, one if which is scintilation
Where, All or Nothin

I bought mine in Luclin/Shadowhaven/Library. I believe I've also seen it at the Magician guild in Felwithe.

You get all the armor at once-- it summons an 8-slot backback filled with the 8 items. Unfortunately the backpack doesn't do weight reduction as a spirit pouch does. Instead it's just a plain 8-slot no rent backpack.

If I'm low on packpacks, I'll run this spell once and hand the armor to my pet, using the packpack for loot. (Although there's a good deal of controversey over whether giving armor to your pet is actually helpful.)

the one in felwithe is the lvl 16 magician armor spell that requires a cats eye agate to cast

Phantom Leather and Summon Phantom Leather are two completely different spells. Phantom leather is a self only buff...while Summon phantom leather is great for pet's and leveling up a twink character.
is it all or nothin

Do you get all of the armor at once or do you have to keep recasting it?
Sold at vendors?
# May 20 2002 at 4:55 AM Rating: Decent
I checked with several fellow magi and they all said this was the result of a quest, not sold at vendors. Please advise as I have not seen it at vendors. I checked FV as well which is where this quest is supposed to start.

According to Caster's Realm, this is sold in both FV and OT. I checked all the spell vendors in OT with no luck. It may not be sold any more.
where?

You get gloves, not cape.
Point Blank AoE
# Feb 14 2002 at 6:41 PM Rating: Decent
A Point Blank AoE spell is usefull since it can hit ANY mob around you, in a certain range (small)
For example if you are in an AE group, you will have someone pull a big amount of mobs and an enchanteur stun them, so you can have .. lets say 20 mobs around you, then you will start nuking with this spell ...
You will not hit 3 mobs max like all AE spells do, but really the 20 mobs !!!
this spell and Flame Arc spell are the only magician spells till lvl 55 (dunno after) with which you can hit more than 3 mobs

It is Really Funny to see all those mobs hitted for 600+ dam hehee

Hope this hlps
