Notice the Max lvl 90 on these augs? that's Foreshadowing to the next expansion. Fill those experience bars folks, it's coming. Hmmm, I wonder how my lvl 90 Necro pet will parse? I'll find out soon enough , I guess.:)

dyadic quartzite is what is available to you as you progress the SoD 'themes' or tiers.
5 tiers, 5 types (lesser, minor, major, greater, glowing)

The dyadic QUARTZ are available as you progress through the raids of each tiers.
I was Void D on my mage, and had Major Dyadic Quartzite available.
Then I was invited to a raid to kill the Queen M<something>
After that, I checked again, and now I had the Minor Dyadic Quartz available, along with the Major quartzite.

Needless to say, I bought the minor Quartz, for the Enhanced Minion IV. :)
However, not sure what progresses to the Major, Lesser, Greater, and Glowing Quartz...
maybe all raids in a given theme? /shrug

a increase by 90! wow your pet would be able to dish out more than many players...but i think this is new expansion, and probably most peeps will also porportionalize with the expansion with the pets, so by the time you attain this, the dps and tanking classes would have 30k+ hp normal and hit for 400s i bet hehe, but hey who knows maybe the expansion won't be a great advancement in our classes. but this effects has to be linked to an item which has to exist so they won't just make it to taunt us! lol. So it does/will exist and pets will have a newfound hight of ability. =D....oh and bring back pets that cast an assortment of spells, love how they are multi-talented and flashy.
