If you move out of the AE range do you still get hit with this Proc? It says that it is a Targeted AE with an AE Radius of 50.
You can move out of range of the next rain wave to avoid it, but it is a rain DOT. So any wave that hits you will cause 3 ticks of damage.
AE Duration: 7500
This means it's a rain spell with 3 waves (7500 / 2500). It's a very powerful proc for it's era. It's as much as 20 DPS per target if it's continuously applied.

I am a 55 pally and love this sword. When I get adds of 2 or more. I load up the weapon and go at it. I have resisted it but only with 160 MR and above. It is a great agro weapon, and does hurt. Granted in a raid situation this weapon is not one I use. The damage it deals is VERY nice though. When I proc first thing I do is H.o.T. myself and keep swinging. For me I have had it proc several times within a fight. And it hits in waves. You can resist first one, and get hit by the ones that follow, or vice versa. And vs those High MR mobs the -100 MR modifier is nice. But like was mentioned before. It does hit you as well, and hits hard. So if you have it, use it wisely. Awsome sword btw. IMO. And fun to use

you don't want it to proc, it's an AE dot. Although the above shows it is only 1 to 3 ticks. And yes, it does land on you too. Confirmed this with my lvl 52 SK. Another crap sword courtesy of Verant.

Does anybody know what lv this sword's spell ability can by used at? I am a 41 sk and can not get it to cast due in insufficient control of the weapon. My 2 handed slash is at 190, so it can not be a lack of skill.
