Well, now that the whole casting time thing has been updated with the recent patch and we are on the up and up. I would like someone to post actual info on this spell. I am one level under at 82, but I wanted to know how high some Enchanters are nuking on regular and crits, with foci, etc. I am interested in seeing how high this can get with the 50% focus on SoD armor ::drools::. Lol. Please share

As many classes have had their nukes revamped, I would like something similar done with ours. Our role in groups is reactive and this sluggish cast time is not consistent with our duties of crowd control.

The way it's been done with many classes is that while the cast time itself has been reduced, the recovery time of the nuke has been lengthened. In this case, instead of a six second cast time, they might give us a three second cast time, and instead of a 1.5 second recast time, lengthen it to 4.5 seconds. Consecutive casts of the nuke would occur with the same frequency. But it would allow us to get the casting over with, so that we're prepared to cast a mezz, stun or whatever is needed.

Personally, what I would rather see is a shorter cast time, keep the recovery time as is, but reduce the damage and mana cost of the nuke, so that while we cast more nukes, our DPS through nukage remains the same, as would our mana expenditure. This proposal would give would allow us to react to adds more quickly and allow us to maximize the benefit of the mana flare line. It's our buff. I think we should be able to maximize the usefulness of it.

Regardless of how you think the issue should be resolved, I would encourage all Enchanter to submit feedbacks and petitions, and let Sony know that we don't believe the most mentally acute of all classes should be burdened with a long cast time on nukes.
