If camping Gullerback for COTH in Burning Woods,he paths a lot just SSW to South of Giant fort near a crater.Have seen him spawn on the Western slope of the abovementioned crater a couple times.Killed him numerous times while levelling Alts in that area. Was killing Skellies,Gorillas and the odd Worm. Not sure which mob spawned him.

Sorry don't know which mob it fell off of because I was just in there slaughtering everything... Yet it did drop off one of the normal mobs in the North Wing. If I get it to drop again, will let yall know which mob dropped it

Camped at the Mushroom King for the Fungi Tunic, CoH dropped off a Mushroom Reaver in the Tower area, but Reavers are everywhere in that part of the zone.

It also doesn't work in the Deep. Tried to pull a team mate from the chasm and got the no hero's here whisper...

wonder if he is still down there?
CoTH

Here is another use for this spell.

Have a shaman or necro - use high lvl dots on a mob and chain cast CoTH. You get to dot something with no agro. Rinse and repeat - what will you kill next?

Unfortunately, it doesnt work like that. Once the next tick goes off on the Dots, your friend shammie or necro gets aggro again. It's cheaper manawise and reagentwise just to kite the thing, as I'm sure you'll never find a Mage who'll be willing to waste that many pearls.

The only real uses for this spell are the ones listed below. Have your MT get all the aggro on an overpull, then have him/her run away and CotH him/her back.

Just a note- This spell does not work in non-combat zones, in my experience. PoK, PoT, Bazaar, and Nexus have all been tested and it gives the message:

A voice whispers in your mind: "There are no heroes here..."

So I guess it's only zones that have the possiblity of combat?

I believe it does work in PoK. I was grouped with a mage about a week ago who dinged 55. As I was in PoK getting ready to camp next to the small bank, I suddenly appeared next to him on the other side of the zone next to the jewelry supply vendors. Interesting thing is that it didn't interrupt my camp cycle, and since I was at 5 seconds I didn't have time to ask any questions.

Does this spell have a reagent cost?

Yes, the pearls can be bought from a vendor in PoK for cheap. I buy stacks of 100 on my mage for around 440 pp/stack. Normally I buy 2 or 3 stacks at a time since I abuse the spell and multi box 5 to 7 toons at a time. But a merchant near the fishing pond between GL and bazz ramps has them. ;)

Great spell

Mages, this spell is uber. If you don't already own it, get it now. You'll be using it now and when you hit 65.

Appears to have the effect of clearing agro also. In other words, if your puller gets too many adds, he can just run AWAY from the party, dragging the adds along with. You can then summon him and, poof, clear agro. The party is good, the puller is good, the mobs are far away.

I am told you can use this spell to pull Phinny to zoneline in Kedge Keep without losing agro.

Swim over top and use a low agro dot and coth up to zone and phinny will be there shortly... alone

It is useful but it has rules. It is a must, though. One of the class defining spells we get, and very useful in many situations.

It will summon a group member to you. You have to have the group leader be an "anchor" at zoneline or wherever you are pulling people FROM. They invite a person to group, then you cast CoH to bring them to you. When everyone is assembled, pull the anchor last.

A couple of high level zones have CoH disabled (Plane of Sky comes to mind) so that you "don't skip important content".

Another important thing this spell does is clear aggro. If a tank gets in trouble or a puller gets too many, they can call for a CoH and you can summon them to you safely and without anything still mad at it. The target has to be further than 200ft away or the aggro will remain.

yep, its a 30,000 foot-radius TL from group member to you, especially useful in dungeons (some dont let you use it) and pulling a friend across west karana :P

(only works as long as member is in same zone)
RE: ?
# Oct 29 2004 at 12:33 PM Rating: Decent
so is there a zone with a bigger than 30,00 feet across?

I believe the Plane of Billy is 40,000 feet across, I could be mistaken, however.
