Turn ON the rain

I seem to remember that long ago it worked both ways, ON and OFF. I even remember during a guild raid a couple of druids got into an annoying contest of doing that back and forth. They must have nerfed the ON part just for that reason. This was LONG ago, though...

I love this spell-i hate having to listen to thunder and lightning in game, and i tend to lag with the rain effects-i keep a stack of opals on my druid at all times.
Meteorological Rocket has similar effect

The Gnome-made Meteorological Rocket has 5 charges of same/similar effect but requires no Opal per click. Nice item that sits in your ammo slot.

Have not tried in snow yet, however.

Correct, but you need an opal to create the rocket, so you get 5 charges for one opal instead of one. I will probably not buy or use this spell, I carry the rockets around (which ANYONE can use by the way).
Who will stop the Rain

Hello,
Has anyone else noticed that this does not change the weather in the whole zone, but just allows you to have a nice sunny day. Was grouped in Burning Woods the other day. I could see just fine the rest of the group griping because of the poor visibility. Comes in handy if you are quading in a heavily hunted area. You can see the mobs pop before they can. Just a thought, LOL
use this spell right before you use your "picnic" spell

HAHA
neeed opals

Would just like to note that this spell consumes an opal. Unless of course you try it in the PoK, then it consumes 4 opals! /boggle
Must be a bug.
It also doesn't change the weather from good to bad - meaning you can't make it rain or snow if it's already a nice day out. =(
So much for being an evil druid I guess.

Oh and opals can be bought for about 14-17p in the jewelers place.
can only stop it

I'm not trying to be evil, but I do wish I could make it start raining. I want to see if that helps make the iron oxide ground spawn show up in Steamfont.

Blizzards too.
# Aug 11 2003 at 3:40 PM Rating: Decent
Not just rain storms. I have seen this spell cause instant cessation of the annoying visibility-reducing blizzards in Western Wastes. No fun to stumble into Klandicar's lap cuz you can't see more than 2 feet in front of you.

I cast this is CS because I've read other posts claiming it will sop snow too. Well, it didn't. I cast and it kept on snowing.

Besides being a fun, mess with the weather, god-like spell, does Wake of Karana have any in-game benefits? I can see how this would most likely improve visibility, but is that all?

It has also become more usefull to an extent with some charm items that require it to be snowing/raining. I believe all you can do is turn it off though so not that useful unless you wanna be mean.

Reportedly this spell can stop the Acid Rain in Plane of Disease.

Yeah if your quad kiting and you want to avoid agroing mobs ahead cause you can't see ahead due to the rain or snow then cast this so you can get a safe quad.
