Since SoE took away the need for dot temp has made most other cleric hp buff's not needed for many lvls which I like :) Though it would make sense now to up some of the other hp buffs to make them worth getting. I haven't looked but I'm sure the higher ones last longer :) My cleric is 56 and heals in WoS so I rarely really need to cast buffs...tanks normally have virt or conv :) From lvl 39 to lvl 60 there are only 2 new hp buffs..which people with temp will skip most likely...hit 60 get upgrade to temp :) Didn't count symbol's btw being those are there own line of spells...only needed if people have druid spell on :) Quest not that hard for temp :)

Just a consideration. Temp/Virtue also only takes one buff slot. If your stacking 3 buffs, you are limiting the number of other buffs players can have. I agree Clerics are getting shafted a bit compared to other classes. I still hope we get a pet that lasts, and is comparable to a Necro pet. Or how about a spell that changes living MOBs into Undead by draining their mana, and then allowing us to cast undead spells on them. Really make us undead killers...

To answer the question why does everyone *****. I guess I don't consider it ********* I'm just disappointed that since they introduced temperance it really makes a lot of these higher level buffs negligible. That is depressing as I remember the days of being motivated to get to the next higher set of spells. Now new levels mostly mean access to zones that have minimum requirements. I was thankful for temperance at my lower level. Even then, though, I thought it was bit much and it just keeps poking me in the eye now that many of these higher level ac/hp buffs are still not as good as temperance. To this day I'm still trying to figure out the thoughts behind introducing temperance to the game.

sony is trying to appeal to the masses to increase the player base
used to be u had to have half a brain and be willing to werk a lil to get uber
now its 0 to 60 on no time at all and noobs learn even less

Well, for my 2cp worth to this question...

Temperance is a quest spell and I believe the others mentioned are all store bought. If one does not care to take on the quest, then you have other possibilties.

On the other hand, if someone does take on the quest, the reward is very long lasting.

Cleric Buffs at pre-level 56 that do not stack with Temperance:

Heroic Bond:
HP +when cast by 360 (L52) to 425 (L65)
Max HP +by 360 (L52) to 425 (L65)
AC +18 (L52) to 19 (L60)

Shield of Words:
AC +31

Symbol of Marzin:
HP + when cast by 640 (L54) to 700 (L60)
Max HP + when cast by 640 (L54) to 700 (L60)

Totals when cast at lowest lvls possible:
HP +1000
Max HP +1000
AC +49

Blessin of Temperance gives:
HP +800
Max HP +800
AC +48

Mana costs and Dot costs are also interesting:
For buffing an entire group of 6 total mana cost is:
Temperance : 1650
3 Shields : 4320*

Temperance: 2 dots
3 Shields: 6 dots!*

*say only two tanks that you symbol the costs go down to 2920 and 2 dots

You get more for your money with a Group Temp spell, but if you are going for total effectivness go with the 3 shields

It's the length. It last longer than the other. So from a mana standpoint it would be up to the cleric whihc htey choosed to do. Might be nice to buff people as you are leaving to cover them for a long while. Could also be used as a timer for C3 perhaps?

What is the point of this spell.... it has 3 less as than Bulwark of Faith and cost 100 more mana??

It has double the duration of Bulwark. It's the same set up as Heroism and Fortitude, only Fortitude comes 3 levels after Heroism and still sucks.
