As of 11-25-2020 on Mangler server the pet is lvl 29. A nice upgrade to the lvl 26 water pet I had before hitting lvl 30.
I love that he looks like random monsters from the zone I'm in. It's always a surprise.
Looks like max hit is 32.
also procs Feral Claws.

with a little luck and alot of resummoning, any chance it could summon what would look like a god? i know not the same powers its essentialy a cooler lookin earth elemental, but if i spammed this on torment could i walk around with saryrn for a few?

Pet hits for 32, bashes for 12, does kick but I did not pay enough attention to notice for how much, and procs feral claws for 30 dmg. I know I like it when people pet damage, so I thought I would add it.

this spell isnt available yet on either combine or the sleeper servers... if you see who all sells this spell.. you will see it will not be available till velious is opened on those servers.

Luclin is now out but still no merchants, must be PoP spell ,, cannot remember that long ago, just remember that I had it on my old mage on the Brell Server.

I went to East Freeport to look for this guy and he was nowhere to be found. Does anyone have a location on where he is supposed to be?

Do the pets have a set amount of damage? Or can they hit for the same amount as the regular mob if it wasn't your pet?

I was in PC one day and saw a higher level mage casting a high level MS..do the pets get bigger as you do it because he summoned like a 50 ft mushroom it was so funny..any info would be nice
It takes on the size of the monster it is copying. In his case, he did one of two things. It may have copied the giant named shroom way back in the dungeon. The other way to get a giant pet is to keep casting monster summoning in zones with giants until you get a giant. Then when you zone, it assumes a new form but stays the same size. A pet's size rarely has anything to do with it's power because of spells like shrink and enlarge.
Not any more. I summoned an IG pet if EF and it was normal size earth pet when I took the book to pok.
If you want to see something cool, get an IG pet and pull another IG, sic the pet on it and watch your very own Ice Giant boxing match - funny as hell.
BTW this is now a level 30 spell and summons a level a DB 28/29 pet - not 34 as indicated below.

You should be a Chanter.. on mine, I spend all day having boxing matches between like MOBs. =P
Still, the novelty of having something like this and NOT having it try to turn around and kill you in a couple minutes is certainly nice!

grabbed an ice giant from EF then head to natimbi. each time you zone your pet changes to the zone but keeps the original pets size, scare tons of people as ya zone in and they think the cragbeaste queen has spawned onto the camp. or just watch as everyone runs toward your pet as they see a 3 story building sized hyena creature or iguana

Does Giving this monster pet any summoned armor or weapons have any effect?

Do the summoned monsters not have a damage shield anymore? I've cast multiple times and waited a minute on each and no shield. Any others find this to be true?
Some time ago, summoned monsters took on the attributes of 1 of your normal elemental pets, example it would be a water pet that happened to look like a beetle. If your summoned monster took its attributes from your fire pet then yes they would have a DS. However, this is no longer the case and summoned monsters have their on attributes and now cast Feral Claw , fairly often too it would appear.
I don't think they ever did. I have summoned several hundred monsters and never got a damage shield. Only fire pet has one out of all the pets anymore.

OK, how is this spell usefull is the "monster" better then our beloved elemental warriors>?? does anyone have stats on them and are they played the same?? Just hit 34 and im soloing in DownShrowd Peaks, any sugestions on where i should go or what to kill??? Thanks all.

Unless you really need the Earth Pet root to stop runners, this is the best pet you have at level 34, with one proviso: you keep reclaiming and resummoning until you get a pet that casts the damage shield. Typically took me 5-10 minutes max to get one (I'd wait 15-20 seconds and if it didn't cast just right-click my torch to Reclaim Energy and summon another), and it's an absolute bad-*** at that level.
You get:
Earth pet hit points.
Water pet damage avoidance.
Fire pet damage shield (about 25 per hit)
What more could you want, other than air pet stuns :) ? AFAIR it does hit for slightly less than the other level 34 pets, but the huge damage shield for the level really makes up for that.

If I cast this spell, can I still cast my Minor Conjuration Earth pet?? Or is this considered to be your "pet" ??
You can only have one pet: either Monster Summoning or Minor Conjuration.

As of the latest patch the Summon Monster spell has been fixed and no longer summons only earth pets.

Lately, whenever I cast this spell, the pet always looks like the earth pet. I'm 35 now, but not sure if that has anything to do with it. Anyone else have this problem?

Klaritin I have had same problem. I hadn't played this in months and just started again. Each time I've used it I've just gotten the earth pet. I'm level 49 and it always worked before.

This is a level 34 spell, obviously. But what if i cast this at level 39, 45, 103, whatever. Will the pet still be level 34 reguardless of what level I am?

Question I have to ask is does the focus items like the torch, shovel, broom, and stein help these as they do the normal pets? Another question, does giving the air, water, fire pet our summoned focus stuff increase there damage? Something to think about!

As far as I know, your pet dont recieve the actual effect of the item but does recieve the stats. Am not sure on the monstor and the focus items b/c I have currently not quested my focus items.

About 1 in 4 casts, you will get one that will cast the fire pet damage shield on it, but has the same hit points as the earth pet. If you use this to fight with, keep recasting and wait up to 2 minutes to see if it cast a DS on itself. Earth pet HP with the fire pet DS is an awesome force at lvl 34.
The most fun, as many have said before, is casting it in zones with giants (Oasis, Everfrost, etc.). I use it quite a bit in Everfrost, and keep reclaiming/recasting until I get an Ice Giant. Park it in front of the PoK book and have tons of fun while farming silks. Then run to Halas to check the merchants while it is following. Great spell.
