since the patch that brought us diretx9, this spell cannot be used as well as the higher lvl one called savage spirit. I have been looking for conformation on this. Is anyone else having troublre with this spell ?
If yes plese send in " bug " reports to get this fixed.
Thanks in advance

You guys are probably correct. Was just wondering if it could be a stacking issue? Since there are 3 components to this spell, (Haste + Strength + AC,) could higher level versions of those individual spells be blocking this buff? (ie: if you cast Strength of Earth on your pet first, will it block this buff?) Smiley: rolleyes

This spell is not working for me either. I don't know if its a bug or i've heard rumors it might be a nerf...however if its a nerf then this spell is totally usless to us!!

I have tried to cast this many times, on players and their pets and I haven't found ANYTHING that this sticks to. What/who is this supposed to benefit?

This spell is like Tiny Companion or the Magician Burnout series. "Target Type: Pet" on a spell indicates that the spell will automatically target your own pet (Charmed or Summoned) when cast. You cannot target another person's pet to cast this sort of spell.

While this spell can be useful when using Charmed pets, it is also risky, since Charm can break at any time, leaving you with a buffed-up and rather angry animal to try to re-Charm or kill before it kills you. Once you can Summon a pet, this series of spell is much more useful.

I'm not a druid expert (just made one and am working up), but I do have a level 54 enchanter, so I would assume charm-killing rules are the same.

There are two basic theories in charm killing, slow your opposing mob or haste your charmed mob. Hasting is considered the better of two for xp, but is a bit more dangerous. Since druids have sow and snare, I can't imagine it being nearly as dangerous as it is for my enchanter.

Charm killing for a druid probably looks like this:

* sow self
* snare pet-to-be
* charm pet-to-be (now pet)
* haste pet
* root target mob
* sic pet on mob
* stand back from fight with pet targeted
* if/when charm breaks, re-charm before it gets to you and send back
* if/when root breaks, re-root
* when pet dies get a new one, if pet is low on health and not fighting, have it guard stand back, invis/dispell magic, and then nuke it dead

Rinse, repeat.

I agree with the steps outlined, however, I would replace "root target mob" with "snare target mob". Root can break, then your pet is snared and your target isn't. Snare is always a good thing. The low-speed chase if you will. Also, when you re-charm you'll always want to re-apply snare as well (unless charm broke super early).

THANK YOU! Being a charm/pet ignoramus as well as a regular ignoramus strongly influenced me not to use this spell at all. Charmed pets are amazing with that process!!

In Eastern Karana Dark Stalkers & Griffawns are fantastic pets!

THANK YOU!!
