Just so you know, Lifeshards not only a power source for our mez, but it is also a Heal-Over-Time that heals about 3k. The description of a lifeshard say that it only heals 650hp, but I believe this must be 650 a tick. Oh, and they are tradeable=).All praise Sony.

I just got this spell. No one seems to mention that there is a chance to get "2" actual life shards. Was trying it out, outside ak anon and was getting 2 shards pretty often. Oh yea and they stack up to 5 and are potion belt enabled.
This is correct. Had to test it out to make sure. It is not just the 650 heal that the description of the lifeshard says, it also has the heal over time effect on it, so overall it is better than soul orb on total health. All depends on if you need a quick 1 shot heal, or if you can work with the heal over time.

they are gotten anywhere, really. there is not a minimum level to get the shard from, so lvl 1s give them up quite often. Any home town hunting ground, I expect, has plenty animals. As a DE, I take the PoK stone for Neriak & hunt in Nek Forest. I get them perhaps 1/3 of the time. I very much dislike that they poof if I die somehow, and there are not any animals around.

This is correct. Being human, Qeynos hills and WK work well.
The life shard is required to cast Spell: Bloodcurdling Shriek

This spell is an inferior spell like Soul orb and Shadow orb. 4x longer recast on the heal, you get a lore item, and it's weaker than Shadow orb's healing.

A life shard is used for another one of our spells i forget exactly what spell it is but it doesnt use the life shard just you have to have one in inventory for the spell to be cast, kinda like the zerker Destroyer line Discs. They only need one of the axe it uses but it throws four axes and never uses the one.
