I 2-box with a Shadowknight and Druid. I have had this spell memmed for ages but never used it until I read up on the Druid spell Skin to Vines. When that spell is cast on a mob you can then use Drink of Decomposition as a lifetap. Still though, I am not sure that this spell is more useful than a regular lifetap other than the lower mana cost. Skin to Vines has a +5% Incoming Damage modifier so when the two are used together it becomes a little more useful.

I've been saying that since this spell came out. Skin to Vines and Drink make a fairly nice (if slightly situational) combination.
what is this crap

The spell is live, I do not have the first lvl of it. I found the rkII version of it for sale in the baz for 30k so ran and bought it on my mule. For some reason I priced it at 80k figuring no one would buy it that high. Before I could get my main there to get it someone had purchased it lol. Well I had it for a lil bit anyhoo.

This spell is not on the vendor, checked both the SK and Necro guys. Did it make it into release or was it just a Beta thing?

I am not positive but I don't think it went live... it's a plant only lifetap... such a shame it's not available cause I can't tell you how many times I've been wandering through a zone and saw a plant and said to myself, "Hey you know I'd really love to lifetap that plant but I just wouldn't feel right doing it with a normal lifetap, but perhaps if I had a plant only lifetap...."

Again, too bad it didnt go live cause this would have been much more useful then, oh I don't know, a new snare for the first fecking time in 8 expansions ffs..

Druid lvl 63 spell "Skin to Vines" changes mobs into "plants".

Slashing damage is increased and allows Drink of Decomposition to work so its not utterly useless. Since lifetaps are both heals and nukes in a sense its a dps increase of some sort.

Personally I still think SOE Dev's were smoking some plants when they dreamed this up but who am I to argue.

From what I was told the SK spell Drink of Decomposition" and the Pally spell "Wraithguard's Vengeance" are spells from a quest in TSS. I have no info on which quests or who the npc is but it is live.
