Pally outbuffing a cleric?
# Jun 24 2007 at 5:02 AM Rating: Decent
Kinda curious if BSG, Sworn Protector, and Armor of Untrelenting Faith are stackable.. If so then we get 2776 HP, 130 AC, and 5 mana regen just out of the rank 1. which is better than Ten RK 3 at 2323 HP and 123 AC, Kinda wierd that us pallys would be able to out buff a cleric.

Well I normally play a Berserker/Druid combo and My wife plays a paladina and she loves this spell line up and is dying to get this spell. Normally we get buffed up in pok and then head out to do whatever and alot of the time that whatever can take up most of the day. She casts this regularly on herself and then symbol on everybody else to stack with the druid buffs. It might only last a hour but it beats the 30 min its going to take you to leave group run to pok and back and get your party going all over again. Right now we hold pulls for about a min casters med and we are right back up and running again in no time. So the answer here is no this spell is not worthless and it has its uses and some people actually love it for its convience.

By now, if you are lvl 75, you should realize that throughout your whole career as a Paladin. That our buffs are meant to be NOT on par with Clerics, neither in duration or effect. This makes total sense for balancing the game in my opinion. By now, you should know that our buffs are really just OH S**T buffs to cast only when you or someone else in your group is like OH S**T my Temp/Virt/Conv/Tena faded, and you are still in the middle of something with no Cleric and not wanting to go back to PoK. Why would they give us as long a duration or effect? Seriously... So people could be running around PoK OOCing "Are there any Paladins around??? I need their (Sworn Protector)!" or whatever. That just wouldnt be right or fair to Clerics. Paladins get a lot more love in other places, and we were never meant to be a real buff class.

I feel the need to vent for a second:

The spell for a level 67 Cleric (Conviction) is a 1787-HP buff that lasts 2hrs & 30mins. This level 75 spell is a 1758-HP buff and lasts only 1hr. That's a kick in the a$$ for us already, but then I see that Clerics get another new spell at 72 which is a 2144-HP buff that also lasts 2hrs & 30mins.

So my question is; shouldn't this Sworn Protector spell be a level 71-72 spell and let us Paladins get another higher level spell at 75 thats comparible to somewhere in the middle of the two, say 1950-HP or so? I know clerics are the true healer/buff class, but seriously how much more abuse do us Paladins have to endure?

Not to mention the fact that the Tenacity (level 72 spell) only costs 400pp and change, but this spell costs 1700pp!!

My extra 2cp worth (...Even the Cleric's level 75 Tenacity Group spell only costs 1100pp...)

Oh my quit your crying you little baby. OH cry cry cry I want my paladin to be able to buff as good as a cleric! While were at it I want to be able to nuke like a wizard and heck why not slow like a shaman. You are a fool. Its plain and simple class balancing.
Levels that are effected.

From what I've seen while working with this spell it can hit anyone level 61+ making it almost equal with cleric's conviction, the main difference being the duration.
