According to some info on SteelWarriors site, Avoidance and combat effects cap, and it appears to be a hard cap, at +120. It's possible Accuracy may cap at +120 as well as it appears to be of the same time of Mod.
Avoidance adds to your raw chance to avoid incoming damage as in dodge. Seems every +10 = 1% chance. and max at +120 is a +12% raw dodge chance. They're not sure what order it adds its effect, but its effect is extremely nice for the classes that get beat on a lot such as warriors, Monks, Chanters, Shaman and clerics. Its effect stacks with Imp Dodge 3, +% to dodge skill, and Talisman of sense buff.

Unsure of exact hardcap etc... All i know is, my avoidance is either very close or maxed.... Everyone raggin on me about AC, but i've already shown that having greater avoidance is > AC....

Some seem to believe that avoidance increases AC... From what ive seen, it doesnt numerically.... However, it does greatly mitigate damage... Many people disregard avoidance and shielding simply because its not really "tangible"... You cant really flex your "avoidance" or "shielding" muscle... As of now, it doesnt even show on your magelo... Therefore, most people apt for the things that actually "show" versus the things that really matter....

I could be WAY off base here, but in all my days, its proven true.... As a TANK, you want max AC, but do not neglect your avoidance/shielding... If someone has a formula of AC = avoidance/shielding PLEASE explain....

check out evilgamer.net.

They had the breakdown long ago.
Avoidance caps at 100.
Not only does it add chance to avoid damage, but it also adds directly to your ac point for point.

Ok Avoid AGI

AGI that means Agility! for not getting hit.
DEX that means Dexterity! for trade skills.
The spell 'Feet Like Cat' gives AGI increase.
As a 62nd season ranger I have been useing AGI as the primary attribute and as the secondary attribute I use HP. Often and I mean often in groups I have heard many /ROFL at me ranger because I get so many many misses from being attacked by mobs. AGI 255 is so so powerful, and if I start to get hits, I stop fighting during the casting of JOLT this lessens "the hate list" by 500 who ever is on top. So I determine that I am on the top of the hate list then I get HITS. Warriors have often remarked that my taunt is sinister. I truely respect the complete role of warrior and MT. It is the task of the warrior to get hits, as a ranger you must be opposite of the warrior, stand next to the rogue so as soon as you see the MOB-TURN (casting will stop your attack) cast JOLT. Sometimes I let the warrior wack at the exposed backs. That mob drops Hit Points soo fast! At west wall or east wall or outer in PoV. Dont heal, just /ROFL at the stupid ranger that takes 80perc more damage than he should. Innate HP 2.5k with HoV 4.2 avg, thats more that enough for the ranger. Smiley: waycool stay brite, and dont play when your tired !!! FGS.

Thank you very much TalibMT I was thinking of the begin game as a starting stat. So as I get more AA's I see your point about end game and that the stats will be maxed. Another area of interest are the Poison Magic Disease Fire Cold areas. I can see how a max score in Magic is benificial in a raid. Thanks again for the end game tips.

Once you get to a certain level of gear (Elemental, Time, GOD etc) you will find that all of the stats relevant to your class are easily max'd out or close to max totally unbuffed, and any gaps between the stat cap and what your gear provides will be covered by buffs.

So, the strategy for people at that point is to put greater emphasis on hit points and mana which have no caps (that anyone can reach anyways) as well as worn ATK and other skill modifiers.

So, you may want to rethink the whole approach of "primary" stat and "secondary" stat, because all of the stats have some value and if you reach a certain level of power in the game you'll be able to max them all without having to make many compromises.

DEX, incidentally, helps with certain combat functions like weapon effects being triggered, not just with tradeskills.

AA will also be more important to you, as it allows you to improve your performance in aspects of the game that aren't obviously reflected in the basic set of stats.
