Weapon Affinity

Through years of practice, you develop a close bond with your weapons. This affinity enhances the performance of your weapons by increasing the rate that they trigger effects.

A Must Have for Pallys

If you have a pally, max this out. It does affect self cast procs as well as what the weapon inherently has. Combine it with working on the Spellcasting Fury line of AAs for even more fun.
Buff Procs too?

Say your a SK or Paladin. you cast a BUFF on you that procs a heal or a life spike. Does Weapon Affinity help that as well?
Or its "Weaqpons only"

Buff Procs too?

Any proc, whether inherent to the weapon, or cast on the owner.
proc on headshot

The question I have is does it increase the proc on headshot does anyone know for sure?

proc on headshot

I do not believe so, since headshot isn't a proc. It's just a very very low-chance critical hit.
Proc rate

I've noticed that this ability seems to be a percentage. With a faster proc rate weapon it doesn't seem to improve so much. Say you proc 5 times a fight on an even it will increase the average at most to 7 times. But if the proc rate is much slower such as the Flint dagger, the cudgel, or the slow hammer for Warriors, it increases the average dramatically from say 3 per even to 5 per even. For those classes such as Warriors that rely on their procs for keeping agro this is a fantastic ability. For the DPS classes its also really nice, just have to watch out you aren't ganking agro especially with the Riwwi cudgel and Flint dagger combo. Nukes may get less agro, but chain nuking several 600dd's kills beasties just as fast as wizards *grin.
WA 2 incrased my CHoS proc rate from 4-6 a fight to 6-8 a fight. WELL worth the points.

how much difference does each tier do?
# Apr 29 2004 at 3:51 PM Rating: Decent
I have a BST and do much of my damage due procs (steelhilted flint dagger + CHOS) and would like to increase the proc rate, but does anyone has made some experience wit this ability yet?

How much difference does each tier really do?

I have a 58 Beastlord that I purchased 1 point of weapon affinity. Before, while using lets say a..
"Baton of Royal Stature"
11 dmg 22 dly
dmg bonus:5
effect Stunning Blow
1: Stun (6.oo sec)
2: Decrease Hitpoints by 11 (L1) to 60 (l50)

I would see maybe 3 per battle on average while soloing. Dex 255. Max Skill with Blunt.
After Weapon Affinity 1, I average 5 to 8 procs a battle.

If this is what happens with 1 point in it, imagine maxing it to 5th level. WOW. ESPECIALLY with that Steel Hilted Stone Dagger.
Beastlords new saying, "with a Proc, Proc here and a Proc, Proc there. Here a Proc, there a Proc. EVERYWHERE a proc, proc..." you get the picture.
