I don't think any more need be said about the store-bought portion than merely saying that. The issue is how to do the combine and sub combine and which portion(s) are only dropped vs bought. We can easily check out the price anywhere in Norrath. No possible way to estimate the cost of a drop over time. Every new EXPAC often affects the prices of drops.

If the Pure Silver Ingot is storebought and it's cost is 400someodd, why is the cost of that item not included in the "cost to produce" for THIS item?

I just noticed the "cost to produce" tag up there for this item. Are ALL tradeskilled items missing the correct information when the subcombined items listed are storebought?

If keeping these up to date are low priority... they fluctuate in-game, and for the most part remain unmaintained on the site... why add it in the first place?

If you want a better trade skill site, check out www.eqtraders.com

It's much better, and they won't try to charge you for the recipes.

The value is filled in on very few of our recipes, mostly because prices fluctuate and we have a vast number of recipes to maintain (more every day). I filled it in on this recipe because you pointed it out, but keeping them up to date is fairly low on our priority list.

Just a thought as a compromise... Those items that require a storebought component might be best described as having a "minimum cost to produce" that includes the cost of the storebought components, and ignores those dropped/sellable items that do fluctuate in price. This might give players a better idea of what the "cost floor" is to make an item.
