These are well over 200pp per combine. It is well worth it to camp Dak Tiktopper in Echo Caverns until you get a "Tinkering Tools" to drop, and well worth buying a KEI to get your success rate up. Thusfar I have failed 4 consecutive times, so I can't tell you what the vendor will buy the aqualung back for. I will post here as soon as I find out.
Alright.. just tried about 35 of these guys to get from 135 to 148. The investment, with 130 Charisma, was about 228pp per attempt (bought all the components in PoK). Received 190pp back from the merchie for each success. Still, the overall investment was close to 4K considering the fails and loss of 38pp per success. Was using 'Tinkering Tools' and INT is at 209 when attempting combines. I will keep better records for the next level...but it is going to be a while until I can manage 10K for the next set (grin).
