All can be found in Cresent Reach as well - Are the Shakers good for anthing after I make them?

You can also complete this brew in the Baking Room in Abysmal Sea... everything you need including the brew barrel.
Great for skill up to 188!

I made the Faydwer Shaker from skill level 135 to 188 and those 53 skill up points took 5 - 6 hours and cost next to nothing when selling everything back and with a Cha of 135. I think I spent 15-20pp or so for this 53 skill points. Also this would have been faster but I had limited slots open to carry everything. All you need for the Faydwer Shaker is Mead (1), Dwarven Ale (1), Elven Wine (1), Gnomish Spirits (1) and a Cask (1). Best of all is that they are all vendor purchased in E. Freeport on the docks at the Seafarer's Roost, #11 on EQ Atlas map. If you have 2 or 3 handmade Backpacks you can make fewer trips and get this done pretty fast. I averaged about 5 skill up points for every 3 stacks of ingredients. Once I hit 180 that dropped off and took about 10 more stacks for the last 8 skill points.

What to do after Faydwer Shaker!?

May not be the best choice, and I plane on trying some others now, but I have gone with the Minotaur Heros Brew which is good to 248. The slowing of skill points after hitting 180 has carried over to the Minotaur Heros Brew and needing 9 components for each combine is no help either! Again all these components can be found in Freeport. Yeast & Malt - Krystin Charcoal in the corner on main ramp from W. Freeport leading to N. Freeport. Water - Alec Greenglade in the blue building next to the bank (Don't know why water is so hard to find in the city!). The Cask and Short Beer can be found at any of the pubs/bars in the Freeport area. I used Swin Blackeye at the Hogcallers Inn in W. Freeport just because the Brewing Barrel was available at the time. There may be some place in W. Freeport to get water in which case you would not have to leave the zone for this one component!? This brew is even cheaper to make then the Faydwer Shaker if you sell everything back. I have used this recipe over the last couple of days and it's not just slow it is PAINFULLY slow, at least with my lowly 130-Int! Starting at skill level 188 I have now made it to 193 in about 5 hours!

Make sure you have as many empty Backpacks as you can carry ready for this one and lots of Int/Wis and patients! Have to get this trade skill maxed out and go for that Trade Skill Trophy! : )

Happy Brewing

P.S. I also noticed that when I had a pair of items stacked and tried to do the combine I got an error/warning message window pop up. Looks like this should not be a problem for people anymore!?
returns

On a successful brewing, you get back four (4) bottles. A nice little return for selling or stocking up for other recipes.

This is an easy and cheap mid range skill developer. All 4 of the components can be purchased at Kelethin from 2 vendors. Each sell for ablut 1 1/2 plats for a stack of 20, with cha of 100. Casks are very cheap also.

If you go to Kelethin, take the middle lift, to area 11 in eqatlas. go to area 10, then 7, then 8 upper. Purchase Mead and Wine from vendor in center. Go to area 5 and purchase the other 2.

For me, a shammy, I gate back to PoK and brew, then return through the portal just south of town.

Or you can go to the Seafarer's Roost on the docks in East Freeport(area #11 on EQAtlas map). The vendor there sells all 4 of the components needed...............

Also the Tiger's Roar in Highpass Hold sells all the ingrediants and has the brew barrel right next to the vendors. The guy named "Bartender" has Mead and Casks and just up the stairs right behind Bartender is another guy who sells the wine, ale, and spirits. His name is Dyn Tarburner.
