Ok so does this mean that the same character has to have jewelry and smithing skills to the above levels? i have a dwarf cleric smith and a gnome enchanter jeweler? Also is the soft furr padding realy no drop?
Yep, have to have both skills. Jewelcraft to this level is no where near as hard as smithing. Everything is storebought. It should only take you about and hour or two to get jewelcraft this high if you have several thousand plat to fund it.

I think they mean you need to put it in the forge again...not sure, but you can try it. You wont lose anything if it doesnt work, you'll just get the message "you cannot combine these materials in this container" or something. I'm not sure, you have to try it though =)

The final combine to make it tradable is done in a Jewelry Bag, not a forge. As above the trivial for this combine is 195. I don't know what happens if you fail, but will post if I am unfortunate enough to find out. Good luck.

I play a Druid on Zeb and I just got my 8th Prayer Shawl here the other day Woot!! :) Now I have made this engraved stuff atleast 4 times so I am doing the recipe right but for some reason I can't do the last combine to make the engraved BP :(
I put the imbued version and the etching tools in the JC kit and says cannot combine. If anyone knows my problem plz post here. I'm hoping its not somthing like: once you have your 8th shawl u can't make the engraved stuff anymore
