Prerequisite quests: Achievement: Legend of the Burning Lands (Group), Earthen Dirge, and Mold Seeker.

At the end of the Mold Seeker quest, you get Key of the Relic Keeper that is clicked from within Mearatas to both obtain the mission and then port the GROUP into the instance. So only one group member actually needs the key, but a group member without their own key has no way to get themselves into the instance. This is significant if anyone dies.

The instance itself is a small, bowl-shaped room with several cubbies along the outer perimeter, including one where you zone in. There are four waves of mobs you will have to deal with, however you do have time between waves to regroup so long as you aren't close enough to proximity aggro the mobs. Since the room is small, there's very little margin for error.

  • 1. Defeat the relic guardians. 0/1 Mearatas: The Stone Demesne

Wave 1 has two level 114 "relic guardian" on the other side of the room.

Wave 2 has three mephits a vekerchiki soldier - in the center of the room. They will aggro unless you are in one of the cubbies, tightly hugging the outer wall. While they are yellow cons and seemingly have fewer HP than the golems. They do see-invis but do not see through rogue SOS. They can be mezzed, snared, and rooted.

Wave 3 is an earth elemental - elemental deep earth. There are emotes to be aware of:

An elemental deep earth shouts, '_____ offends! You are too high above the earth!'
Note: this emote may also affect pets, not only players.
At this point you are go to the center of the room, which is lower than the outer ring area where you should be engaging the mob. If you miss this emote, you will get:
An elemental deep earth shouts, '_____ remains too high above the earth!'

If you fight the elemental in the center you get a different message:

An elemental deep earth shouts, '_____ offends! You are too low upon the earth!'
An elemental deep earth shouts, '_____ remains too low to the earth!'

Just need to run up on ledge instead.
    An elemental deep earth begins to cast a spell. Crushing Stone (Decrease Hitpoints by 156156, single target);
The elemental deep earth was offended and threw a rock at _____. You have failed the Achievement: Rock Steady

The final mob Iron Heart - casts Specific Gravity (Decrease Hitpoints by 126866 per tick, Decrease Movement by 90%) and has one emote:
The boulder begins to roll, seeking _____. A boulder will start chasing the named player, which simply needs to be avoided. Note that the boulder does not despawn until the quest item is looted from the chest.

The final mob spawns directly at the zone-in, so if you are fighting there you will not have time to regroup before engaging. One way or another you should get out of that initial cubby. Best bet is probably to do it during the first wave, or immediately afterwards, although you'll have to be quick. Aim for the cubby that is roughly at 3 o'clock from where you zone-in; that should be far enough from all the other spawns so that you don't aggro mobs until you are ready.

  • 2. Steal the duende female mold. 0/1 Mearatas: The Stone Demesne

  • 3. Open the chest. 0/1 Mearatas: The Stone Demesne

"a jewel encrusted chest" spawns. Open it and loot "Duende Female Mold" to complete the mission.

You have completed achievement: Hero of Mearatas: The Stone Demesne.

Optional achievements that may be completed during this mission :
    - Perfect Timing: Defeat the Relic Guardians at the same time and Vekerchiki Soldiers at the same time.
    - Rock Steady : Do not allow anyone in your party to offend the elemental deep earth and get hit with a rock.
    - Keep on Rolling: Do not get hit by the rolling boulder (player specific).

    Reward(s):
    212 platinum 5 gold
    You gain experience!
    96 Fettered Ifrit Coins

Those mephits are terribly resistive to bard mez, even at 120. Though maybe id be smarter not trying to mez and just tank all 3. They killed the merc.

You may want to add that if you want to run this mission again, you can simply say "key" to Obsidian Sundering Master in Esianti.

The mephitis can be mezzed. The 110 version of the enchanter aa mez works fine off the bat. Tash was required to land a regular mezz, but it did land.

We tanked the elemental at the top of the circle, running down to the table worked for lowering. Pets (without getting a sucessful x emote)got the emotes but didnt impact our getting the achievement.

I completed this last night with two SKs, a rogue, shaman, wizard (me), and a cleric merc. One SK and the rogue were raid-geared, the rest of us were group-geared. This was not an ideal group by any means; we really needed more DPS, more healing, or ideally both.

Before I get into the particulars of the event, it's worth understanding how you get into the instance. A prior progression quest “Mold Seeker” gives you a "key" that is clicked from within Mearatas to both obtain the mission and then port the GROUP into the instance. So only one group member actually needs the key, but a group member without their own key has no way to get themselves into the instance. This is significant if anyone dies.

The instance itself is a small, bowl-shaped room with several cubbies along the outer perimeter, including one where you zone-in. There are four waves of mobs you will have to deal with, however you do have time between waves to regroup so long as you aren't close enough to proximity aggro the mobs. Since the room is small, there's very little margin for error.

When you zone-in, there will be two "Relic Guardian" on the other side of the room. These were red-cons at 110 and had a lot of HP, but tank & spank worked fine.

Wave two has three mephitis – “vekerchiki soldier” - in the center of the room. They will aggro unless you are in one of the cubbies, tightly hugging the outer wall. While they are yellow cons and seemingly have fewer HP than the golems, they are tough mobs and we wiped a few times on them. This is the hardest wave, so DPS should do a full burn. They do see-invis but do not see through rogue SOS.

A raid-geared SK could not tank all three mephits with a cleric merc and while being spam-healed by the Shaman. It's possible a human cleric could have kept him alive but there would likely have to be some luck involved. We managed to get one mephit dead before wiping the second time. On the third attempt, the Shaman was able to root one mob, at which point the rest was easy.

Wave three is an earth elemental - “elemental deep earth” – and was pretty easy. There are two emotes to be aware of:

“An elemental deep earth shouts, 'playername offends! You are too high above the earth!'”
I believe you are supposed to duck at this point but I wasn’t able to verify that with everything else going on. If you miss this emote, you will get:

“An elemental deep earth shouts, 'playername remains too high above the earth!'”
An elemental deep earth begins to cast a spell. <Crushing Stone>
The elemental deep earth was offended and threw a rock at someone in your group. You have failed the Achievement: Rock Steady

Crushing Stone appears to be a single target DD and wasn’t significant enough to be a major concern.

The final mob – “Iron Heart” - was nothing special. He does have one emote:

“The boulder begins to roll, seeking playername.” A boulder will start chasing the named player, which simply needs to be avoided.

Aim for the cubby that is roughly at 3 o’clock from where you zone-in; that should be far enough from all the other spawns so that you don’t aggro mobs until you are ready.

Did this again...the proper response to the "too high" emote is to go to the center of the room, which is lower than the outer ring area where you should be engaging the mob.

Ok thanks. We don't have any details on that quest yet. We'll need someone to run it and post the details.
