You say, 'Hail, Ami'

Ami flips through a few pages of a small book, reading intently before answering you. 'Ye scurvy dog. I'll strike yer colors 'fore ya can put me on a gibbet. Take that, ya crimp!' She flips through a few more pages then smiles at you. 'Arrrr!'

You say, 'Ye scurvy dog!'

Ami grins. 'Hey, that's pretty good. You did it without a book too. Nice to meet you. I'm the bosun here.'

You say, 'You're a Bosun?'

Ami says 'Yup. I think it means I'm in charge of the flag cause that's what the Cap'n told me to take care of. I'm the one who made our symbol, so I get to protect it. I even got my own copy of the grammar manual so I can practice my pirate speech.'

You say, 'What kind of grammar manual?'

Ami nods and shows you the book for a moment. 'We don't have many of them and usually we share. My book is missing a chapter, though.'

You say, 'What chapter is missing?'

Ami nods. 'A mate of mine borrowed the P Chapter to draw a map on but then he went and got himself lost. I've memorized the rest of the book but that chapter. Oh, well, I guess I can get by with what I have. Walk the mizenmast and batten down the boom!' She looks at you proudly. 'Good, eh? I'm one of the best pirates we have.'

Find the lost pirate at +6360, +1005.

You say, 'Hail, a lost pirate'

a lost pirate twitches and growls a little. 'Arrr. Grrr. Ahoy, mate. The name's Teep.' He shivers and you notice a little drool at the corner of his mouth. 'Ya ain't lost out here too, are ya?'

You say, 'I am not lost.'

a lost pirate grins and stares through you with a mad gleam in his eye. 'Hehehe. Yah, yer lost aren't ya. I can tell from the crazy sound o' yer voice. Too bad we ain't got me map. The map would lead us straight back ta camp. Yah, that it would, boyo.'

You say, 'What map?'

a lost pirate nods. 'After we got ourselves stuck on this island I got it in me head to draw up a map so none o' the crew would ever get lost. So I set myself to explorin' and drawin'. Now the map is gone. Too bad, too, cause it was a map o' the whole place, not just the first island, but a bunch o' parts.' Mention of the map seems to have sobered him up a bit.

You say, 'Gone?'

a lost pirate says 'Aye. I lost the first part walkin' through the woods. Some big wolf bowled me over 'n started to tear me book up. 'Fore I could stop, it he ran off. I'm not knowin' why. The second part, heh. That was worse.'

You say, 'What happened to the second part?'

a lost pirate shivers. 'The second piece I lost, well, that put the fear o' Bertox in me. I was still in the woods at the time. It was at night. Cold and crisp, it was. I heard a flappin' and squawkin' above me and I knew my time was near. So I up and jumped into a snow drift. Soon as that, somethin' swooped down where I was and started tearin' my camp up. When I came back, I saw nothin' but feathers and me torn up book. Another quarter o' me book was gone.'

You say, 'What happened to the third part?'

a lost pirate says 'Huh? Oh, the other pieces? I gave a piece to a mate o' mine 'cause he wanted to help. Nice enough fella but he couldn't find north from a hole in the hull. Last I saw he wandered off towards the bridge. The last piece went away after I stumbled and fell down here. After a while I didn't care, so I threw it in the water. It floated off. Seems like everythin' that goes wrong ta me is because of some danged wild animal. I can't quite figger it.'

You say, 'I will find the parts.'

a lost pirate laughs. 'Its yer funeral, boyo. I'm not even sure they're readable. Oh, well. Here, take this. It's the cover of the book I was puttin' the map in. If ya get the first four parts, put em in there. If ya get the fifth, just go give it ta Ami the way ya find it. Hey, if ya find em all, come get me so I can find me way back. I'm thinkin' I'd like ta go back now.'

You say, 'Where is chapter P?'

a lost pirate stares at the water. 'I'm rememberin' that. Yah. Ami's book. Thats what I drew, erm, the fifth part o'n. It got lost in the ocean too.' He looks at you. 'Yer wantin' ta go out and find all o' these pieces?'

You receive a Map Binding, a four-slot container. Find the four parts to the map:

1. The first piece of the map can be looted off of a Dire Wolf Stalker, a rare spawn in Iceclad Ocean.

2. The second piece is looted from Stormfeather - again, a rare spawn in Iceclad.

3. The third piece is found via a mini-quest. Kill Tizmaks in Great Divide until you have four of the NO DROP Yakman Parts. Hand all four parts to Bloodmaw in the same zone. Bloodmaw will despawn after you give him the parts. After this happens, say, 'I want the map please' to the gnome captive. He'll give you the third piece.

4. The fourth piece of the map is found on Lodizal.

Combine the four pieces in your container to craft Pieces of an Iceclad Map give this to the lost pirate:

a lost pirate grins widely and slaps you on the arm. 'Har har! You're crazier than I am. And since I know that I must not be that crazy after all. Ahh, I haven't felt this good in ages..' He shuffles the pieces and jots down a few notes here and there. 'There, now it's really finished. Let's get us outta here. Hold this fer me.' As he starts to try and crawl up the hill, a sleek figure darts towards him.
You gain experience!!

Receive the Completed Map of Iceclad in return.

A rabid snow cougar spawns and attacks. Whether you kill it or not does not seem to matter. Head to Captain Nalot.

You say, 'Hail, Captain Nalot'

Captain Nalot squints at you through one eye, the other covered by a metallic eyepatch. 'Garrr. What `ave we here? Another beller yellied land blubber eh? By the looks of ye someones mudder didnt know when ta throw a bad fish back. HAR HAR!'

You say, 'What do you mean, bad fish?'

Captain Nalot says 'That means I'm callin ya ugly as a piece o' whale blubber but twice as bad smellin, ya son of a water treadin _____. Yer about as smart as the slime we use ta patch our boat hull, aren't ya?'

You say, 'Where is this boat of yours?'

Captain Nalot says 'Arrrr. So we ain't got a boat right now. What's that got ta do with anythin'? Just cause we ain't got a boat, or a way to sail the waters, or even know how ta sail, don't mean we aren't crusty and dangerous. Just watch yerself cause we're mean.'

You say, 'You're mean?'

Captain Nalot says 'Thats right! We're mean, nasty, devious 'n cruel. We'll knock ya down, bite yer knees, and steal yer money. Arrr. We won't always say please and thank you either! Just remember that and don't be tryin' anyhin' funny.'

You say, 'What do you consider funny?'

Captain Nalot says 'Uh, I dunno what funny stuff. No one's ever asked that one. You know, just be nice ta everyone I guess. Think ya can do that?'

You say, 'What about the map?'

Captain Nalot says 'The map? What map? Oh wait, that thing I made ol' what's-his-name do ta get los... uh adventure. Uh, sure. If yer wantin' we've got a job for ya. If ya do it ya get ta be a real member o' me crew.'

You say, 'I want to be a real member of your crew.'

Captain Nalot says 'That means ya get ta take orders from me and ya get ta use fancy words like bilge hoistin' land blubbing beller yellied, and more. Anyways, we needed a map so me lads would stop gettin' lost, but the lad I sent out ain't come back with it. I even sent out a search party but I ain't heard from them either. If ya find 'im get the map and get back 'ere.'

Give the completed map to Captain Nalot.

Captain Nalot squints and then knocks hard on the metal half of his face to get his eye back in adjustment.. 'Arrr. This is perfect. Har! Now we can be plannin' our pillagin' and plunderin' all proper like. Good work, _____!' Captain Nalot slaps you on the back and accidentally drops his eyepatch. Being a proper pirate now you conveniently forget to mention it to him.
You gain experience!!

Technically, there's no minimum level to complete this quest. However, unless you have some very high level friends willing to chill out for a 19+ hour spawn and kill Lodi, forget it. He's level 60, extremely MR.

Lodizal was killed and i chilled out for about 5 minutes there then returned to the stormfeather camp. I got there and stormfeather was on the edge of the island ready to fly off so i got him just in time. They prolly do spawn near the same time, well they can.

if he attacks, you are simply to clsoe to him. make sure you are standing behind him and back up a bit..then hand him the items. as for a mq.. none of this quest is MQ able. The dire wolf stalker spawns at the dragon bridge. about 100yrs out.. I got him in 10min just sittng there clicking on the wolfs that wandered by. The spawn time on lodizal and storm feather are the same 19hrs. they can skip spawns tho. thus making it a hell of a camp. Lodizal and stormfeather wont pop at the same time (so im told) it either one or the other. hope that helps yahs..

ARRRGGG

Ok, so there I was PLin a friend of mine in iceclad for a few hours. After she decided to log and go to bed (not a TRUE addict) I was gonna jaunt over to EW to smack some direwolves cause I wanted to get the cloak for my rogue (who was camped by the gnomes btw) when out of the corner of my eye I see wings. Now I know this was a popular camp and I figured someone was already on it because it was moving at snare speed. After watching a second I noticed no one around and it was light blue so hell why not kill it. Easy lil fight. 45 drood=snare, boom boom boom..and a lil touch of the es vambs. Well I looted it and without even knowing what I was doing looted the map and came here to check out what it was. Grrrr, hindsight is 20-20 they say, maybe I'll get lucky and catch a glimpse of the bugger again some day and let the rogue loot it.

A level 55 Iksar warrior asked me if i wanted some powerleveling from him killing cougars, cause he was so bored from camping stormfeather. About 3 hours into the cougar/powerleveling session i casted "eye of zomm"(me being a 36/37 wizard at the time), and the ******* popped. Him and me killed Stormfeather in a jiffy. Then we headed over to ToFS and BAM Lodizal was up (talk about luck =P). So i rounded 8 of his guildies to kill Lodizal. He finished the quest and got the eyepatch. I got a whole level and Stormfeather talons out of it =D. Oh, BTW he was camping stormfeather for 26 hours.

Well...

I started out day in the usual fashion. I was asked to help a cleric get a shield quest piece from Lodz. I helped out and we beat Lodz. I rolled for first piece of map against 11 others and won. Then I said what the heck! Why not go for Stormfeather. So in about 4 hours I nabbed Stormy and another piece of map. Then I preceded to log and get 4 hours sleep and came back on and got the dire wolf stalker in 15 min, then went and got the last piece from Bloodmaw in GD.

All total time spent was about 8 hours in-game on complete quest for eyepatch.

Was it worth it? Heck ya! This with my rbg kicks butt now. Did I get lucky on the spawns?

Most definitely so! Some people have waited days for just one of these spawns to pop.

Very, very nice on my shaman. Never really intended to get this item at all, but when a pally friend of mine and I killed Lodizal and he already had an Ancient Pirate's Eyepatch, I looted the load. Selling the Lodizal Shell Piece gave me enough plat for a horsey, and now, just one long boring Stormfeather camp later, I have this eyepatch. :)
In 30 min i get Stormfeather

Stormfeather was soloed by me 37 ranger using fear kite tactics.. More Hps than the surrounding cougars but I leveled on cougars and tracked and killed SF so it was never a useless camp for me.

Few tips, since most people who post here have no clue what they are talking about.

- Stormfeather is a really long camp. It seems the 18 hours may be close but when I timed it it was 20 hours and 3 of the other people camping Stormfeather found it to be around 16 hours. No idea how long it takes him to pop from a server reset. This is the worst part of the quest, unless you get lucky.

- Dire Wolf Stalker is found wandering between the portal and the Giant guarded dragon head bridge, in Iceclad. All of the people I talked to killed him in this area, as did I. From the portal head to the right and hang out near the dragon-square, your tracker should have no problem finding him here. I spent 4 hours 1 night camping this with no luck then 25 seconds the next night, when I logged in he was there.

- Tizmaks are an easy kill in Great Divide. You can head to the Tizmak cave near Thurgadin to kill as many as it takes to get 4 meats. Bloodmaw, found in the kodiak cave near the Velketor area, was KOS to me. I got behind him while invis, inched ever so slowly, closer to him until I could hand him a Yakman meat and then turned all 4 into him. He did not aggro and I had no problems.

- Lodizal can be done with 1 well balanced high 50's group. You should be able to find information on killing Lodizal from many people on your server. Keep in mind this is a high level spawn and most uber guilds on your server will be watching for him. Good luck.

Do not forget to give the combined map back to the lost pirate. I have heard many horror stories of people skipping this part and giving the wrong item to Captain Nealot. Upon handing the combined map pieces to the lost pirate he will give you a completed Iceclad map. Hand this completed map to Captain Nealot.

The first two pieces of this map are easy to get. What is the point of putting the last two pieces on MOBs that you can't kill without 2 or 3 groups of six? Not everyone is in a guild with 12-18 level 60 people that are online at the same time. It doesn't make sense. I'd rather do some tedious pain in the *** fed=ex quest rather than have to kill level 60+ NPC MOBs.

Storm feather is soloable around 55.

Why should what is one of the top 5 masks in the game be something a level 40 person can get?
