You say, 'Hail, Ami'

Ami flips through a few pages of a small book, reading intently before answering you. 'Ye scurvy dog. I'll strike yer colors 'fore ya can put me on a gibbet. Take that, ya crimp!' She flips through a few more pages then smiles at you. 'Arrrr!'

You say, 'Ye scurvy dog!'

Ami grins. 'Hey, that's pretty good. You did it without a book too. Nice to meet you. I'm the bosun here.'

You say, 'You're a Bosun?'

Ami says 'Yup. I think it means I'm in charge of the flag cause that's what the Cap'n told me to take care of. I'm the one who made our symbol, so I get to protect it. I even got my own copy of the grammar manual so I can practice my pirate speech.'

You say, 'What kind of grammar manual?'

Ami nods and shows you the book for a moment. 'We don't have many of them and usually we share. My book is missing a chapter, though.'

You say, 'What chapter is missing?'

Ami nods. 'A mate of mine borrowed the P Chapter to draw a map on but then he went and got himself lost. I've memorized the rest of the book but that chapter. Oh, well, I guess I can get by with what I have. Walk the mizenmast and batten down the boom!' She looks at you proudly. 'Good, eh? I'm one of the best pirates we have.'

Find the lost pirate at +6360, +1005.

You say, 'Hail, a lost pirate'

a lost pirate twitches and growls a little. 'Arrr. Grrr. Ahoy, mate. The name's Teep.' He shivers and you notice a little drool at the corner of his mouth. 'Ya ain't lost out here too, are ya?'

You say, 'I am not lost.'

a lost pirate grins and stares through you with a mad gleam in his eye. 'Hehehe. Yah, yer lost aren't ya. I can tell from the crazy sound o' yer voice. Too bad we ain't got me map. The map would lead us straight back ta camp. Yah, that it would, boyo.'

You say, 'What map?'

a lost pirate nods. 'After we got ourselves stuck on this island I got it in me head to draw up a map so none o' the crew would ever get lost. So I set myself to explorin' and drawin'. Now the map is gone. Too bad, too, cause it was a map o' the whole place, not just the first island, but a bunch o' parts.' Mention of the map seems to have sobered him up a bit.

You say, 'Gone?'

a lost pirate says 'Aye. I lost the first part walkin' through the woods. Some big wolf bowled me over 'n started to tear me book up. 'Fore I could stop, it he ran off. I'm not knowin' why. The second part, heh. That was worse.'

You say, 'What happened to the second part?'

a lost pirate shivers. 'The second piece I lost, well, that put the fear o' Bertox in me. I was still in the woods at the time. It was at night. Cold and crisp, it was. I heard a flappin' and squawkin' above me and I knew my time was near. So I up and jumped into a snow drift. Soon as that, somethin' swooped down where I was and started tearin' my camp up. When I came back, I saw nothin' but feathers and me torn up book. Another quarter o' me book was gone.'

You say, 'What happened to the third part?'

a lost pirate says 'Huh? Oh, the other pieces? I gave a piece to a mate o' mine 'cause he wanted to help. Nice enough fella but he couldn't find north from a hole in the hull. Last I saw he wandered off towards the bridge. The last piece went away after I stumbled and fell down here. After a while I didn't care, so I threw it in the water. It floated off. Seems like everythin' that goes wrong ta me is because of some danged wild animal. I can't quite figger it.'

You say, 'I will find the parts.'

a lost pirate laughs. 'Its yer funeral, boyo. I'm not even sure they're readable. Oh, well. Here, take this. It's the cover of the book I was puttin' the map in. If ya get the first four parts, put em in there. If ya get the fifth, just go give it ta Ami the way ya find it. Hey, if ya find em all, come get me so I can find me way back. I'm thinkin' I'd like ta go back now.'

You say, 'Where is chapter P?'

a lost pirate stares at the water. 'I'm rememberin' that. Yah. Ami's book. Thats what I drew, erm, the fifth part o'n. It got lost in the ocean too.' He looks at you. 'Yer wantin' ta go out and find all o' these pieces?'

You receive a Map Binding, a four-slot container. Find the four parts to the map:

1. The first piece of the map can be looted off of a Dire Wolf Stalker, a rare spawn in Iceclad Ocean.

2. The second piece is looted from Stormfeather - again, a rare spawn in Iceclad.

3. The third piece is found via a mini-quest. Kill Tizmaks in Great Divide until you have four of the NO DROP Yakman Parts. Hand all four parts to Bloodmaw in the same zone. Bloodmaw will despawn after you give him the parts. After this happens, say, 'I want the map please' to the gnome captive. He'll give you the third piece.

4. The fourth piece of the map is found on Lodizal.

Combine the four pieces in your container to craft Pieces of an Iceclad Map give this to the lost pirate:

a lost pirate grins widely and slaps you on the arm. 'Har har! You're crazier than I am. And since I know that I must not be that crazy after all. Ahh, I haven't felt this good in ages..' He shuffles the pieces and jots down a few notes here and there. 'There, now it's really finished. Let's get us outta here. Hold this fer me.' As he starts to try and crawl up the hill, a sleek figure darts towards him.
You gain experience!!

Receive the Completed Map of Iceclad in return.

A rabid snow cougar spawns and attacks. Whether you kill it or not does not seem to matter. Head to Captain Nalot.

You say, 'Hail, Captain Nalot'

Captain Nalot squints at you through one eye, the other covered by a metallic eyepatch. 'Garrr. What `ave we here? Another beller yellied land blubber eh? By the looks of ye someones mudder didnt know when ta throw a bad fish back. HAR HAR!'

You say, 'What do you mean, bad fish?'

Captain Nalot says 'That means I'm callin ya ugly as a piece o' whale blubber but twice as bad smellin, ya son of a water treadin _____. Yer about as smart as the slime we use ta patch our boat hull, aren't ya?'

You say, 'Where is this boat of yours?'

Captain Nalot says 'Arrrr. So we ain't got a boat right now. What's that got ta do with anythin'? Just cause we ain't got a boat, or a way to sail the waters, or even know how ta sail, don't mean we aren't crusty and dangerous. Just watch yerself cause we're mean.'

You say, 'You're mean?'

Captain Nalot says 'Thats right! We're mean, nasty, devious 'n cruel. We'll knock ya down, bite yer knees, and steal yer money. Arrr. We won't always say please and thank you either! Just remember that and don't be tryin' anyhin' funny.'

You say, 'What do you consider funny?'

Captain Nalot says 'Uh, I dunno what funny stuff. No one's ever asked that one. You know, just be nice ta everyone I guess. Think ya can do that?'

You say, 'What about the map?'

Captain Nalot says 'The map? What map? Oh wait, that thing I made ol' what's-his-name do ta get los... uh adventure. Uh, sure. If yer wantin' we've got a job for ya. If ya do it ya get ta be a real member o' me crew.'

You say, 'I want to be a real member of your crew.'

Captain Nalot says 'That means ya get ta take orders from me and ya get ta use fancy words like bilge hoistin' land blubbing beller yellied, and more. Anyways, we needed a map so me lads would stop gettin' lost, but the lad I sent out ain't come back with it. I even sent out a search party but I ain't heard from them either. If ya find 'im get the map and get back 'ere.'

Give the completed map to Captain Nalot.

Captain Nalot squints and then knocks hard on the metal half of his face to get his eye back in adjustment.. 'Arrr. This is perfect. Har! Now we can be plannin' our pillagin' and plunderin' all proper like. Good work, _____!' Captain Nalot slaps you on the back and accidentally drops his eyepatch. Being a proper pirate now you conveniently forget to mention it to him.
You gain experience!!

Receive Eyepatch of Plunder.

Well, everytime I find a great quest, Veranta always does this. 1) Bring 4 batwings 2) Bring 3 food 3) Give 10 plat 4) Kill a dragon WTF is up with that. Every darn quests makes you camp a a 3 day spawn or get 10+ friends to do. If you wana have soemthing hard, make all parts of the quest challenging not impossible. Aight

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

You're calling !US! Geeks.

I see it this way:
You're playing EverQuest,
You're apparently paying extra to play Everquest,
You're obviously immature.

To me, this indicates that, not only are you a geek, you're a bigger geek than I am.

And on top of it all, you apparently failed Gangsta 101 with the frequent mis-spellings of common swear words and insults.

The 7wis/7int club referred to is the Garou Bone club. You need to kill Garou and get his skin and Midnight. Stormfeather's not involved with that one.

#basrutten, Posted: May 10 2002 at 6:45 AM, Rating: Unrated, (Expand Post) Ok, im posting this message because i been thru HELL doing this quest and I dont want to see peeps going thru the same things i did. Well, first of all, If u are thinking about this quest, get the map from STORMFEATHER and LODI FIRST!!. The rest is very easy. I know people that have all the maps except Lodi and stormfeather LOL ( and they think they are almost done with quest). I have seen 3 consecutive Stormfeather spawns the 1.5weeks ive been camping it. Stormfeather spawns right next to the 3gnomes by the tree( between the water and gnomes). I took ove the camp after someone had told me that they have been there for 18hours(he wanted to sleep). i sat there for 32hours STRAIGHT = NO SPAWN. then the next day, after exactly 57hours after the pop, SF popped. I F CKING got KSed by the stupid **** rule FCFS. then i decided to stay up again and keep camping it. I waited and waited, 12hours pass, i havent taken shower, brushed my teeth or anything concerning self maintenance because i wanted the MAP. I had my speakers turn UP so everytime a cougar agroes me, ill wake up ( that way i can lay down and somewhat rest). 35hours pass, still no spawn. i read post saying that its a 19hour spawn that can skip so i always had hope. Just remember ive been up for looong **** time now. I somehow got a friend to take over camp for 3hours so i can take a nap. i woke up and started camping again. eventually the 54 hour mark came up. Im getting excited that SF will spawn like it did last time ( 57hours). Suddenly i see BUNCH of peeps surrounding the area. Im getting SCARED that they will KS ( crying). I asked them not to KS , hoping they will respect me. This one BISH threatened me saying that he will take SF if he sees it. I somehow come to an agreement with him so will can Random on it if SF spawns. AT EXACTLY 55hours and 45mins to the second, SF popped. Him and I kill it and I literally cant believe that I have a chance at the map. Im shaking, pissing in my pants, i smell like ***** havent taken a shower but, I was happy as hell to see SF dead. He randoms first and rolls a 35!!!. I for sure thought i will have the map. i /random 1 101 and NOOOOOOOOOO i FU KING roll a 4!!!!!!!!. i cant beleive it. /cry, /sad as ****,/hate eq,/punch my wife,/beat my kids,/smoke lots of cig. I LOST THE ROLL. Well, me being the crazy smelly man that i am, i decide to keep camping it because i didnt feel like playing the game without 20percent stackable haste. The next spawn was in exactly 45hours to the min. I happened to get it. I felt so furcking lucky. I have literally gotten 3hours a sleep this WHOLE week. This camp sucks. so i saw SF at 57hours,55hours and 45min, 45hours. So the 19hours spawn thing is BS or not always 19hour cycles. DONT try to start this quest if u have a JOB, go to school, a wife that hates u playing , likes to take showers, dont like to order pizza, etc.etc.. After i finally got the SF map, i realized how greasy my hair was, how bad i smelled, and i just looked like ****. Anyways, Lodi map was tuff but i wont go into that. and the rest of it is easier than getting ur ***** hard seeing Cameron Diaz naked. I hope the 57, 55h45min, 45h thing will help u guys, and GL.

Ok. I have all 4 map parts after like 3 months of questing. I got lod by chance and thats what made me start the quest. I got the other two pieces because SF was camped at the time then came back. I camped Stormfeather for a few months on and off, staying for periods of 12 hours and 6 hours alot and he never popped..I read a billion posts about his timer and talked to people in my guild who have finished the quest. Stormfeather IS a 19 hour spawn and he WILL skip ALOT. Don't expect him to pop first 19 hours because he won't but he can. Verant desided to patch after 12 hours of straight camping so I went to sleep and left it for the day. My friend waited 19 hours after patch and sure enough SF popped =/ But atleast I had the timer down so I waited 19 hours and waited for him..nothing. Waited again. nothing. Then the third 19 hours verant patched again :p ...anyways it goes on like that. I gave up for a week or so after that then started again. Last weekend I finally cought him up by complete chance as I was logging on. =D Now I can't hand it in because the lost pirate has been broken and the guide told me theres no eta =/

Sneak doesnt work but you dont have to charm or FD either. stand behind him and inch toward him, trying to give him meat with each step. Eventually you will be able to give him meat out of aggro range. Works like a charm (I'm a 54 rogue, and I tried sneak - no dice.)

Go look at, Bloodmaw is on the map. Just south of the dragon portal near the entrance to velks. Bloodmaw looks like a Kodiak, and is straight in the back (go through the first intersection). You will need to invis, or kill a bunch of Kodiaks to get in and out of it.

You also, to hand in the meat you can just keep getting closer until you can trade with Bloodmaw. I also used a different character to turn in the meat from the one who got the map piece.

I just completed this quest and have a few things to share with those of you doing the quest. First off after one very long camp and being online for 2 spawns of Stormfeather I have a bit of info to throw into the pot. The amount of time from my first stormfeather spawn to the second was exactly 56 hours (to the minute) Divide that by 3(the number of times he should have spawned but skipped) that gives a spawn cycle of 18hours 40minutes. Second the turn it to Bloodmaw. This part takes a litte finess, Bloodmaw is KOS to everyone but he is rooted (i.e. he doesnt move at all) so you need to be close enough to trade to him, but far enough that he wont attack. Third, the direwolf stalker, I spent a total of about 3 hours slaughtering dire wolves to get him to spawn, seems as tho he is totally random and can spawn in place of any regular dire wolf. I found it best to camp near the first temple looking thing (its ne of the great span, looks like a big block of stone with a dragon head on it) there are about 5 different dire wolf spawns nearby. Just kill all the wolves you see and he will eventually spawn. Lodizal is pretty much figured out so I wont go into him too much. Finally somthing not mentioned in the walkthru. After aquireing all 4 pieces and the map binding and doing the combine you get the unfinished map, you then turn this in to the lost pirate, here is where I got a surprise. After turning in the map to the lost pirate a rabid snow cougar spawns on top of the lost pirate and attacks you, the competed map goes into your inventory right away but you have this cougar to deal with. Conned green at lvl 51, hit harder than regular snow cougars and had more hit points but was dispatched fairly easily as I was at full health and had a few buffs from my ranger buddy. But, if you arent ready for him I could see it causeing a problem. Just my 2 cp on this. If you have any questions feel free to contact me in game. Good Luck, and Good Hunting.

Lodizal is quite an easy kill, I got him today after a few days of waiting and 1 KS =(. We killed him today with Me a 58 rogue, 60 Druid, 55 Monk, 57 Warrior, 55 Cleric, and a 60 Enchanter. He was a total push over with that group, took not over three minutes to kill him, VERY easy, only hard part is waiting for him =/. He dropped, Map, Shell, Boots, and the phat Belt. He seems to seldom drop spells.

I went in and gave the pieces to Bloodmaw, and did invis and sneak at same time. No prob there he despawned, but then the gnome wouldnt give me the map piece. I was indif, so I thought the faction song might work, and it raised me to kindly and I got the map piece. I would assume you need amiable or better to get this piece. Well..of to wait for Lodi...

Would like to ask a question about the walktrough above.

I cant get the "4 slot container".

Do I start by talking to Nalot and what do say to him excactly? I have tried to say "I am lost" but it doesnt seem to work.

In the text above its seems like theres a mob called the "lost pirate" is this the same as Nalot?

I don't know why they put such a long spawn time on a level 35 mob that drops pretty much nothing useful except for a quest piece. He's very rare though. I've camped him for up to 12 hours in a sitting and seen no spawn.

Bloodmaw has no respawn time, as he isn't (technically) killable. He's a rooted non-aggro quest NPC. He won't move, he won't attack. Just to check it out, I brought my 53 (at the time) Ranger over there and attacked him. It did zip to his life total. He will, however, despawn during the 10th ring war (like all other NPCs in the zone) and will respawn immediately after.
