This quest is offered after you complete the Orc Runner quest. You will also need to be at 232 mid-amiable faction with Clerics of Tunare to get this quest.

Speak with the Paladin guildmaster, Lord Jyleel, in the basement of the Paladin guild in Northern Felwithe. He wants you to prove yourself a faithful Paladin of the court.

General Jyleel says, 'So, the Teir'Dal are behind the recent advances of the orcs?!! Your news has shed light on their union. It is time to step forth and prove yourself a [faithful paladin of this court].'

You say, 'I am a faithful paladin of this court'

General Jyleel says, 'I command you to seek out this Ambassor D`Vinn and rip his heart from his lifeless body. Next, find the supreme caster of the orcs and, finally, find the spot where supplies are dropped by the Teir`Dal for the orcs. There you should find the supply crate. Return all 3 items and you shall wield the falchion.'

Black Heart drops off Ambassador Dvinn in Crushbone.

Blue Orc Head drops off the Orc Prophet also in Crushbone.

Large Locked Crate drops off Brawn in the Ocean of Tears - about 22nd level - on the rocks with the Sirens just as you enter the Ocean of Tears from Faydwer.

Bring those 3 items back to Jyleel.

General Jylell says, 'A noble deed has been done and the alliance of evil has been stalled. I present you with the falchion of the Koada`Vie. You are now an honorable member of our order. Hail Felwithe, and may you defender her with honor.'
Your faction standing with Clerics of Tunare has been adjusted by 50.
Your faction standing with King Tearis Thex has been adjusted by 50.
    You gain experience!

    Receive Falchion of the Koada`Vie.

I was really disappointed with the reward for this quest. I can buy a Silvery War Axe for 60PP and it is a better weapon than the Falchion of Koada'Vie.

Even though I had the faction needed, I found that Jyleel would not give me the quest until I did the orc runner quest first. Then I handed my items in.
    Here's how to do it

Ya know, I didn't write down the loc of the island in oot where you get the crate, but as soon as you enter oot from bbm, you will come to a set of islands after the boat starts moving. Get off here, on the right, and look for the island with 3 sirens, THIS is the island you are looking for. Helps to have a druid who can tp you, but that's not necessary. Now, after you get to the island, try to single pull the siren at the highest point on this rock at about 6 or 7 pm game time, then after nightfall, brawn will spawn in her place without the dragoons to help him. If you are after the dragoons, they spawn at the other locs of the other sirens on this island. Not to shabbly exp from them for a 24 druid, but the dragoons are SKs and harm touch for 200 each... yeah, it hurt bad... well, my pally bud's got to get the pouch, and pray he has enough faction to finish the quest, well, hope this helps. later

And oh yeah, my 19 pally bud was able to kill brawn alone, just took lay on hands to do it, course, I had buffed him, so it might have been closer if he'd been alone. The dork forgot to con brawn though. And all brawn did was punch and kick, so he's a monk/warrior/normal npc

Has anybody tried uwsing this weapon as part of another quest, maybe tring to pursue it further... Perhaps giving it to the Froglok Shin Lord in exchange for the Ghoulbane... after all it is a no drop weapon, so somewhere down the line I bet Verant intended it to be used as part of a quest.

    Just a thought

    How do you get Quest?
    # May 12 2001 at 7:19 PM Rating: Default
Just a simple question? I know it says min lvl of 22 for this Quest. I have all the items in bank. I have raised my faction to an ally with Gen. Jyleel also. But I still dont get the quest from Gen. Jyleel? Do I have to be at least level 22 before the quest will come up from him?
    Just got crate
    # May 11 2001 at 9:15 AM Rating: Default
Just another note to help out others, I just went and got the crate myself. Im a lvl 15 pally from felwithe and had a lvl 30 half-elf pally help me with dragoons and brawn. They all 3 con red to me at this level, and would have killed me easily, so make sure you have help and lay of hands ready, lol. Could not figure out which dragoon was the one on the left or the one on the right from the reply's I read about here before.
So, myself and my friend were there after 7pm game time and we decided to kill the Alluring Sirens (this is the actual names of these NPC's, they are mermaid type creatures, I was thinking people were talking about sirens like horns or something earlier also lol) anyway we decided to kill all 3 sirens and see what happened. We were on the little point coming off of the rock, kinda looks like a finger pointing off of the rock. You can see 2 of the sirens from the point also. 1 siren is on the left side of rock by itself and you can see the second siren up on the top of the rock also. The third siren is close to the siren up on top of the rock.
We started by killing the siren that we could see on top of the rock, it would be the far right one as viewing from the point coming off of the rock as explained earlier. And then the siren next to that will also start to attack you and we decided to just kill all 3 sirens from that point and see what happened.
Well after killing all 3 sirens, we waited around on the point, medding and sure enough, Brawn popped up first on top of the rock alone. We started fighting Brawn (big Orge by the way) and about half way thru his health, a dragoon appeared out of nowhere and started attacking also. We finished off Brawn and then started to work on the dragoon.
Like I said earlier also, Im only Lvl 15, and my friend was lvl 30, we are both pally's and my friend was taking some good damage from the harm touch from this dragoon. So I basically stayed back and healed him while he finished off the dragoon. We looted the 2 dead and then swam to the other rock. And by that time the other (second) dragoon appeared. So we just got out of there before we had to worry about taking more damage, lol.
Pretty much I think if you take out the siren that is on top of the rock as viewed from the point on the rock as I explained earlier. And try to kill only that one siren, so maybe use a arrow or something to pull it down away from the siren next to it. You then would probably only get Brawn to spawn by himself.
Also, we had to wait on boat for awhile so right when it reached 5am game time, we checked and Brawn appeared first, then the 2 dragoons appeared following him, and they all despawned at 6am just like stated in previous posts. There will also be a Troll NPC on one point of the rock looks like hes fishing or something. Not sure what role he plays if any, or if he would attack also if Brawn and the 2 dragoons were all attacking you.
Well, thats all I have to say. I havent actually turned in the items yet for my sword, cause I need to work on getting my faction up. Just wanted to add a little more to help out others, because that is what a follower of Tunare would do wouldn't they?
    Good Luck

What is the exact location of the island in question?.. I don't see anything referring to that island in the quest resume, & I don't have the intenion of getting lost in the sea, or having to deal with a cramp from too many swimming..
    I think it changed
    # Dec 03 2000 at 6:05 PM Rating: Default
I was camping the ogre in OoT and at 3AM the sirens despawned. At 4 AM both dragoons and the ogre popped at once. My friend mesmerized one of the dragoons and we pulled the other two two the tip of the island where we killed them fast. Just a friendly reminder, when the sirens despawn, the baddies are just about to take their place.

I did this quest at level 17. I needed high amiable faction to get it.. Just ask whoever's camping DVinn to loot the heart and the head. Killed brawn with the help of a level 19 Warrior. This quest gave good EXP, a little over half a bubble.
Verant didn't put much thought into these quests
    # Aug 25 2000 at 8:52 PM Rating: Default
It seems that there are only a couple of really good quests to do in the game. Sadly enough, once they see how good of a quest it is they nerf it. If the quest produces a reward equal to the task, they consider it to be "too powerful". Why the hell would someone waste their time, especially at this level, to get this newbie sword? Too bad quests like this will never just be removed from the game. Verant pick up the ball, because you dropped it.

Yeah, but DVinn drops a better weapon than you get for the quest, go figure.

Yeah, this may look like a newbie sword NOW, but before the daysf multiple megalevels running around and farming every good weapon, this must've looked really good. What level would you need to get a silvery war axe? A good party in the high 20s or low 30s? And think about where that is. 6/24 isn't all that bad, really. Besides, the idea is adventure. Where's the fun in sitting on your **** for hours on end just to say, "yeah, I got ANOTHER silvery war axe. Toss it on the pile..."?

#Anonymous, Posted: Aug 08 2000 at 12:50 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) yeah it does, i love the quests, but this one just seriously blows. and its 6 24. i mean, its not even as good as a langseax ( warrior only, i know ), but for 75 pp, you can get a silvery war axe ( 1 handed, not 2 ), thats 2 delay better, and the same damage. at level 22, i had 75 pp easy, i mean, it looks awesome and all that, but no use other than strutting around. ( which is why i did the quest, with help from a close 53 paladin friend, thanks amigo, but g/f acidentally destroyed it, DOH. look me up on Sol Ro to see me strut around, been hangin around in GFay for a while recently. )
#Anonymous, Posted: Jul 31 2000 at 1:53 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ok I'm not complaining about the nice graphic that they attached to this piece of crap..I'm complaining about the piece of crap itself as a weapon. Just look at it this way...in order to get this completely on your own you have to be at least low 20ish with good faction with the high elves right? ok so I sit on this stupid rock for an hour or so and slaughter a bloated ogre to get a little dinky pokin' stick that is barely good for chopping up greenies much less anything of difficulty. Verant needs to either up the damage or lower the delay to make this something worth doing. For gods sake you can kill the crappy little orc in the CB throne room and get a dwarven axe (6/26) but you have to drag yourself all over faydwer for this falchion (6/22) ??

I completed this quest at level 16..with a 35 wizzie and 27 druid helping me with Brawn and the 2 inkie Dragoons...(thanx Senyen and Gexlan)
I'd say that although the sword isn't much for the difficulty in completing the quest (gaining faction was the tuoghest part...musta fed Pandos nearly 700 muffins) the quest itself is pretty fun to do...so it's all worth it in the end...and the faction will help you on other Felwithe quests...

    # Jul 19 2000 at 11:05 AM Rating: Decent
I did this quest several months ago and I'll tell ye what I love about it is that it IS no-drop and no one can simply run out and buy it. And since the 3D graphic of it is unique I have ppl asking me all the time what sword I use and how much does it cost. I love being able to tell them you CAN'T buy it! Wish more weapons were like that.

But because its unique looking I don't want to stop using it. I'm hoping the quest writers will do a continuation of this quest so you can upgrade the sword damage wise. Maybe add a proc?

I agree, for a level 22 and above pally weapon, it looks good and does no more than practise 1 hand slashing cheaply. If the designers would implement a special upgrade quest for this, including a proc or stat increase on it, i'm sure it would suddenly become a lot more desireable. This has worked before with the idea of the monk headband and sash quests in Freeport and Qeynos where you do a quest to get a basic item and need to use that at a later stage to get a better item.

    Catching the boat
    # Jul 13 2000 at 2:21 PM Rating: Decent
You don't need to get to an island to get back on the boat. If you see the boat coming, swim out in front it, stay at the waterline and just let the boat run over you. You will find yourself in the bar! It has worked for me every single time.

    # Jul 11 2000 at 12:45 PM Rating: Decent
Well I did this quest about a week ago, and it really bites. Here is the info:
Get the prophets head off the prophet in crushbone's tower (PH is an oracle), then in the same place, get DVinn's heart (a black heart). DVinn is hard to kill, just ask a high level after a dirk if you can loot his heart and they will almost always say yes. (DVinn's PH is a centurion or lego) Finally, the hard part, Get on the boat from kaladim docks and jump off when you reach the oot onto those small islands right next to the zone. The rock with 3 sirens and no aqua goblins is the one you are looking for. Now, sit down, relax and enjoy the waves. Or you can kill the siren on the very right from the peninsula to make Brawn spawn. The other 2 make dragoons spawn which are really nasty. I was there with 2 others and a ogre came along and killed all the sirens and then the dragoons jumped my group and double harmtouched the erudite pally that was with us. Brawn runs on low health and if you want to wait for him to spawn, he spawns at 5AM game time with both dragoons and despawns at 6AM also with both dragoons, as far as I know, he always drops the crate. Now the hard part, find either the sisters or brothers island. Personally I swam across the OOT to sisters because I was bored. also, watch out for seafuries and don't run with scissors.
    A Bit More Info
    # Jul 01 2000 at 8:47 PM Rating: Decent
Stevyn is right. As a half-elven paladin of Marr, I too had apprehensive faction, but about 3pp worth of muffins raised me to an acceptable level.

Also, this quest info needs a bit of retouching. The ogre in Ocean of Tears is named "Brawn", not Brarm or Brash (I have screenshots if anyone wants to see). He spawns on a rock with exactly 3 sirens, located directly after you zone in from Butherblock, and only at night. You do NOT have to fight all the dragoons as well though. Simply kill the far left siren after 7 PM game time, and, within a few game hours, Brawn will spawn alone in the place of the siren you just killed. At about 4 AM game time Brawn and the two sirens will spawn, however, so be careful. Also Brawn will spawn 3, or maybe 4 if you kill him quickly each time, times per night.

The item Brawn drops is "a large locked crate". It weighs 20 pounds, and is too big to fit in a standard backpack, so be advised of this.

Also it should be stated that this quest gives a good amount of exp. At level 24, I recieved about half a bubble from returning the items.

    Hope this helps,

It's a long way to rise faction to get quest.
I am a Halfelf, so I am indifferent to way apprehensively in town.
    No other quests are give.
First I have to give MANY bone chips to clerics, maybe some bat wings to mages or black wolf skins to wizzies to raise my faction a bit....
    it's so boring....
Killing Dvinn and others in OOT was easiest part of all.
