She would only tell my L54 Drakkin Druid that "I smelled" (LOL). I believe I was apprehensive) I went to Neriak (with Increased Superior Camo) and killed the Xi triplets three times for faction. They work out well if you time the guards since the Task Master thats also on the parapets doesn't react.
After that she was indifferent to me and would give me the Bat wing quest. It took me @ 600 wings (so 6plat) from the Dark Elf general Merchant in POK before she was amniable to me.

for Drakin's you might note* grab a potion of High elf or a enc friend to ilision you highelf befor you make the run out there to turn in ( recently did this on new drakin Ranger ) an i was indf to her an she would have nothing to do with me but after being ilisoned High elf she took the bat wings :<)

I am working on my ranger 1.0, and i conned indifferent to Impholder and Alrik, i got 1000 bat wings not knowing how much I needed, and I turned in 200 bat wings, and conned her just to see, and already amiably. Wood elf ranger, Hope this help's.

I know nobody cares, BUT. As a Magician...I have never used a bat wing. Considering this lady takes the bat wings (and a lot at that... my druid's arm hurts), I'm wondering what she's using them for. Lev rings anyone?
I suppose I shouldn't try to upset many Rangers or Druids. After all, she is the quickest way to faction.

ok, enough witht the batwings...never got bad faction hit with my drakkin ranger but it took 4,004 batwings to get max ally faction...(probably did not need max faction but at a certian point I wanted to know how many it would take). Needless to say my Hafling Druid will not be max ally.

Niola wouldnt even speak with me or even take the bat wings. till i shrouded down to a rogue... she took them that time. HA! gave the wench 1k bat wings and she "scowls at you ready to attack" URGH!!!

I did 50 turn-ins of four bat wings and got 50 Flare Spells; no Shield of Fire Spell.

well got factin from indiff to amaibly in around 5min...i bought like 1k of bat wings and only used 200 of them =/ but im glad i dont have to sit there and feed her 1k of them.

Hi, just wanted to post for anyone wondering about how many it takes for amiable from indiff, I am a wood elf ranger never worked the faction that I know of and was conning her as I did turn-ins last check was at 49 she was indiff then checked at 51 turn ins and she was amiable (the spells stack to 20 now so easy to see how many you have done, thats ~200 batwings turned in) hope this helps someone
{update at kindly}just got kindly and have 250 scrolls for the flare, thats 1k batwings from indiff to kindly
Kindly does work for Alrik in timorous deep for ranger epic, I didn't try at amiable

Ok for those of you that do not know this if you hold down CTRL key and select Stack you will only pick up one at a time.....Found this out on accident made Bat wing Quest go faster or any turn in quest will go faster....GL to all

Ty for posting reply's hun's. By the time I came back to this posting my boyfreind had same idea. He suggested use shroud rogue form sneak /hide till I am behind her take off hide and turn in wings. It worked great. DO NOT TAKE OFF SNEAK ! she will nail you lol. Also if you remove shroud form before completeing you must start all over again. I killed the dark elf in WC till I was sick then tried this. Turned in 30 boxes of wings to con ally, continued in rogue form until I aquired the pattern . Placed it in my bank before unshrouding and whala! it was still there. Some said it would not be available to me in my true char form but was. Did the rest of my turn , now EPICED , Woot!its over lol. Hope this helps those who trashed their faction as bad as I did. GL :)AKA Redhot ~ Enforcers Of Saryrn

I am 56 human druid can't sneak or hide. Niola scowls and attacks no matter what we have tried. I used my hydra ~70 enc., pac and invised also 64 druid tried and as soon as I target with my druid her invis drops she attacks. I tried wolf form still no go .My druid hasnt't taken any faction hits with the arts either so when came time to do my epic I would not have these problem's. We did suceed on trying this before another Sony patch with another druid and no problems. I have all kills done just need to fix faction for TD I have also killed that darn dark elf in west commons till im sick of him . As far as charming NPC's I have lvl 70 chanter Niola cons red can't charm red hun so will not work on this NPC, I said what the heck worth a try lol I tried mezz and charm you cast anything but pac on this NPC , RUN ! or have a cleric ready for rez. After many bug reports/petition's still nothing. If anyone has any ideas toss them my way turn in's is all I need to complete my 1.0 epic.

2100 batwings and only went from aimable to kindly
2100 batwings = 525 faction hits. Amiable spans 400 points, kindly spans 250. So it could take you another 125 hits (500 batwings) to get up to warmly.

Using the formula I found by this kind soul who posted this in combination with the above website got me to warmly QUICKLY comparitively :) Takes about 30 minutes for 1000 batwings if you go nonstop (they stack to 100 now) - (excluding the ensuing insanity and numb fingers) This post is wonderful and thank you!!!!: (4 batwings to one faction point)

Got amiable after 10 stacks...had to do the sneak thing, went to indifferent after 3 stacks
100 stacks later ... i'm at warmly and Farios still doesn't respond.
I've finally reached kindly (about 70 stacks) and Farios still won't respond to hails *groan*
Since I can't start the epic (stuck at Faelin Bloodbriar), is this why he won't talk? Or do I need max ally or something stupid? heh

I am a wood elf have faction with guards not with mage. Tried the wolf form would not speak to me. Is there anything to get this to work? Need it for epic. Guide says waste of time to go to timourus untill faction up. 52 Wood elf ranger
Did this quest last night. (Wood Elf of tunare. Started Indifferent) Didn't talk to her at all. Just handed in the Bat Wings until I was amiable.
It may be possible to have someone charm her, then do the turn ins. A charmed NPC will con indifferent to everyone except the person chaming it, to whom it will con amiable.
I know I used a chanter charming the npc to do a turn in for the old Veeshan's Peak key. I cannot guarantee it will work here, but its worth trying.

I was doing my Ranger's epic and decided to knock out the easy part and hit up Alrik Farsight. Apparently my breath was pretty bad, no toothbrushes out in nature.
Anyways, I picked up 40 stacks of batwings in PoK and headed down to Felwithe and found Niola Impholer pretty easily. I started at dubious so I had to sneak to turn in the bat wings (I have heard that wolf form works for this, gonna wolf form my friend's Iksar monk and do this quest and post my findings, as a lot of people below disagree on this).
Since I had sneak on I conned indifferent the whole time. After 30 stacks (10 mins), I took off sneak to check faction and was quite surprised that I was at amiable already, since I had heard dreadful stories of 2000 bat wings to get from indifferent to amiable. I decided to turn in my last 10 stacks to see if I could reach kindly faction, but I was still amiable when I walked out. Oh well, at least now Alrik might like me enough to ignore my chronic bad breath.
Oh one thing I want to add... if you can fill up all your inventory slot with cheap 8 slot bags, it really helps in destroying the spells you get. It gets really annoying to have to put 1 batwing in each give slot and have to destroy the spell afterwards. I just destroyed all my bags afterwards (cheapo 1g bags, c'mon people get with the times) and never had to deal with this annoyance. I also gave some of the left over spells to some newbie mages outside of Felwithe who were quite greatful :)

If you have another bat wing in your hand, the spell will either go into an empty slot, or if you are full, will drop on the ground for ya!! Saves lots of time and you dont have to buy some more bags, hehe. GL with factions!!
is it possible to MQ this quest if she won't speak to you? create a character who's faction will be high (i.e. HE mage), form a group and have him turn in the bat wings. sometimes the faction increases for everyone in the group, would it work on this?
p.s. how are all you druids SNEAKING? i don't have that ability!

No that will not work only persone that turns in batwings gets the factoins everyone els gets the exp.
P.S. Halflings have sneak and Hide. She does see invs thoe.

I made the discovery today that you need to start this quest in wolf form. When I tried to do it as "myself" (46 half elf druid) she wouldn't give me any faction hits, and just kept repeating that she "would do nothing to help someone like YOU". When I wolf formed myself (being careful to target her, then go out of the room to do it, so that if she didn't like wolf's I wouldn't be turned into mincemeat) then I could get myself up to indifferent and then she would let me do the quest. As long as I remained in wolf form I never got any higher than indifferent, but after a bag and a half of bat wings, I was up to aimible to her and thus would now be able to do my epic.

I had to do this quest to continue my druid epic. She conned dubious when I started. Tried the invis, wolf form, being in a group with the person that was doing the turn-ins. I got nothing. Finally my husband got an alt out to cast invis on me for each individual turn-in and it worked. Took forever, but at least his alt got his casting practice in. After a while, I was able to do the turn-ins without the aid of an invis. Took hours and hundreds of batwings, but i got Niola up to warmly. It was enough for me to continue with the epic.
When I did this as a halfling she was indiffrent but that may have something to do with the muffin quest because when I did that I kept turning in the rest of the muffins I had on me as I am on a PvP server so factions are good to have there, so I just went ahead and turned the rest of the muffins in turned in about 1400 muffins (70 stacks)
