For a tunare pally this is better then the normal epic, Best thing about it is the 45AC and great for bashing with when you have to AAXP to be able to. Even a great sword no matter the level for a pally, we are not a DPS class and this is an awesome agro keeper.

I still haven't managed to get the skull from Hate, (hopefully in a few days) But I did take down the 3 corrupted. They were all very easy. The faun is the weakest around level 52, He's just like a normal mob in any of the PoP tier 1 planes. The panther is about lvl55 and just a LITTLE stronger than the Faun. The Unicorn is the bastard...we had a 63 druid pull him with snare, and he also killed his pet and ate his HT. 65 Pally tanked him, while a 65 ranger shot him down with 1k+ bow hits. He was annoying though. He blinds and fears often. Me and the other pally were blind through the entire fight. Other than that, he is easy. Hope that helps anyone going after this awesome sword. All 3 were done without a slower, also.

Finished this quest for my Nature's Defender today (12/02/02). Thought I'd leave some helpful information to those still working on it on this board. I did not do any multiquesting so I cannot confirm on those issues. (though I have heard that if those helping MQ are 55+ in level and not KoS in PoG and can be given the quest it can in fact be multiquested). The corrupted mobs all spawn in wakening lands. They do wander but can often be found somewhere south of the lake area. The Corrupted Panther is a L55 warrior and triple hits for 200. He is magic resistant until tashed. The Corrupted Faun is a L57 rogue so keep ppl in facing it. He can do lots of damage but isn't as magic resistant and can be stunned. The Corrupted Unicorn is the most difficult of the three as a L60 shadowknight with 1k harm touch, 350 double attacks and casts blindness. Even with tash this mob is very magic resistant. These creatures can summon and you need to plan on a shorter pull distance if possible. None of these Corrupted Animals have any faction hits at all. The Corrupter of Life spawns deep into the second floor of the Plane of Hate. You will nearly clear the second floor before getting to this mob. It is hard to track from first floor often but can be tracked from the second floor. Once you have all 4 no drop items (and are a level 55 knight at least) go to the Plane of Growth (off wakening lands). If you are a Tunare follower and have never killed in PoG, you are not KoS in PoG. From zone in head SE to neg 3475 pos 1200 where the Guardian of Takish stands outside the building. Use the messages posted above to get quest. If he doesn't respond to your hails just jump in with "I am a knight" and he will respond to that. Turn in all 4 items at the same time to get your sword. Be sure to bring a porter or a gate potion with you as there is no zone out on PoG. Good luck!!

I have been to Hate twice over the last couple of weeks and Corrupter of Life was not up. Does anyone know what his spawn time is or if he needs to be triggered? Need this last peice to get my ND. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Once you are KOS is PoG you can never regain your faction. Might as well give up on this and go for your epic if you are KOS.

Got my skull my first poH raid, now just waiting on leveling and the corrupted mobs to own my phat new sword!

Anyone happen to know the spawn time on the three corrupted animals?

Well, I got the Fleshless Skull in a PoH raid for a friend Tunarean Paladin. Read this, made me think "Okay, the hard part is done, lets go kill these silly corrupted mobs and get it over with". Right? Wrong!
We've been in the WL yesterday. Our forces contained a Lvl 54 Druid, Lvl 56 Paladin, Lvl 60 Paladin, Lvl 60 Monk, Lvl 49 Cleric, Lvl 55 Enchanter, Lvl 53 SK and Lvl 58 Warrior. Looks pretty lethal right?
We started by tracking down the Corrupted Panther and killing him. This guy was ytm meaning he was either 55 or 56. Didn't take a while, would have taken less but we got jumped by one of the Priests, which is also 55 or 56, so it took a little but eventually we took down both of them. Next thing I couldn't see the other corrupted even though I saw them before, since Druid tracking sucks, so we moved towards the middle zone Lake (by the way, the SK got jumped by a few Tunare creatures, Eysa Florawhisper among them, so be cautius when taking evil people with you on this ride). Also, the way WL is built, it's pretty hard to follow the Tracker, on occaisons I took a few steps and some people lost me, so be careful with that too. Looked at track again, saw the Corrupted Unicorn and his pet. Figured he's an SK since pet was gtm. He was rtm. Took the pally with me to show him where to pull from. We found this corrupted unicorn, which looks like a unicorn only black with a skeleton pet. Pally aggroed him and got behind me to track the way back to our little army. I run to the army, get there, look behind, no Pally. Used the /who command and figured out he died. Luckily, or not so luckily, the corrupted unicorn roamed right into our camp. We fight and fight and fight... And by the time it wiped out me after killing all of our tanks and basically everyone but the Enchanter, it was at 70% health.
This little Unicorn, which is a LOT harder than the corrupted fawn or panther (both lev 55 or 56), will Summon, Fear, Dot and Blind. Also it has strong and quick attacks, which makes it a VERY hard mob to kill. Don't underestimate this one. The corpse dragging took about 30 minutes since it's hard to see anything in WL if it's not right in front of you.

You sure this is lvl 55 and above? Has anyone actually tried it before 55 and failed or are you guys just assuming it's 55+ because the word "Knight" was used? Please no opinions, just facts.

Hello, I am in need of information on the spawn time and any placeholders of the corrupted animals. My guild raided WL and couldn't find any of the corrupted animals. We stayed there for a while and killed many panthers/fawns/unicorns, hoping to spawn the corrupted. If anyone has some information on these, please reply to this post.

I just wanted to let you guys know for ABSOLUTELY certain. We just this second finished killing the three corrupt mobs in Wakening lands and there was no faction hits for any of them.
Corrupted Unicorn, Corrupted Faun, Corrupted Panther, no faction hits for killing, positive OR negative.

The minimum lvl should be 55, not 50. You see you have to be a Templar (60 pally) or Knight (55-59 pally) to even get the quest. My lvl 52 Cavalier (51-54 pally) can't get the quest. So im going to gather all the stuff while lvling up and when I hit 55 ill go hail him and turn all the stuff in and get that sweet-arse sword.

Oh yeah and you have to be a worshiper of Tunare to get it.

How about faction? What faction do you need at least to complete this quest? I assume you have to be at least above inddiferently.... Does anyone remember what faction was when you got your ND? hm.

I Solarstar Complete this Quest I hailed Takish and he asked for the SKULL.. I gave him the SKULL.. Takish SAID NOTHING So I was like oh no!! Got a million tells to HURRY give him the other items QUICK!! So I can him ONE at a TIME the Unicorn Skin, Faun Skin, and Panther SKIN
in that Order ALL Corrupted Skins mind you.. AND DING EXP and Nature's Defender!!!!P.S You must be Tunare Worshiper and a High Elf or half Elf and Level 55 Plus..

Can the Skull be multied by another paladin or a nonpaladin (not KOS to Tunare).. thats all I need is the skull.. and a Paladin friend and a Bard friend (faction song) both have one that they cant use.... anyone multiquested this?

For all you non paladins complaining here, paladins have next to zero uber weapons compared to pure melee. If you go to DN the yard trash there drops 11dmg 22dly to 24dly weapons and no one I raid with wants them cause they have much better. Paladins are a "defensive" class so the 45ac defines that.

For all you paladins whining that you can't use it because of race or diety, the new PoS sword that replaced zephyrwind is human erudite only so everyone else is left out of that also. Seems really only dorfs are the ones that have a right to whine.

For the rest of you verant stated that these types of diety quests were just to test the waters and they liked how they turned out. We will be seeing more of these types of quests in the near future so quit whining about class balancing and wait for verant to get these new quests in.

Everytime the paladin class gets a break there's always someone trying to nerf them again, it's really sad.

Heh since eq's early days there has been a rumour that a pally only sword was gonna be put in the game that only ONE pally on each server can get. It was supposed to be the best weapon for a paladin to get...hmmm with all this talk of corruptor being killed and never spawning again might this be the sword? Who know, seems that someone up there is laughing at all the paladins who didnt get this weapon =(

After guild raid in PoH yesterday we took down the Corruptor of Life and got the last item to complete de sword. Thx to all my friends in PARALAX guild.

The corruptor of life have tons of hp and hit for 400 so be ready for im is bad bad ass.

Many of you have said that the corruptor isnt spawning. My guild, Seekers of Lore on Veeshan took him down yesterday. I assume that it is fixed now. He is a mean one, hits for about 400. We pulled him with only a few other minor mobs and still had a decent force standing. Good Luck to all of you Paladins hoping to get this one. And grats to Ashlanhiro on getting the skull.
