Hopefully some of the "new" quests that are being added back into Velious in an upcoming patch are a bit more rewarding.
Surveying the Sifaye

a storm giant surveyor is an uncommon spawn from the giants located outside of Kael in the Wakening Lands. He can spawn in either the small house a bit south-southwest or the work site directly west of Kael.
You say, 'Hail, a storm giant surveyor' A storm giant surveyor says, 'You had best be careful about sneaking up on me like that! I nearly squashed you thinking you were one of those pesky Sifaye! They are constantly flittering around me and sticking me with their darts while I survey the forest for Kael's expansion. At least I make a profit off of them by selling their dust to our sorcerers. Hey! Why don't you fill this bag with Sifaye dust for me? I'll not only spare your life but possibly also reward you for the work.' You receive: Empty Sifaye Dust Bag Sifaye dust is a uncommon/rare drop from Sifaye faeries found throughout Wakening Lands. There is a small village northwest of the pond and a small encampment along the wall northeast of the pond, along with a number of roamers all over the area. Combine 8 Sifaye Dust inside the empty bag to create "Sifaye Dust Bag" Give Sifaye Dust Bag to a storm giant surveyor A storm giant surveyor says, 'Thanks for the assistance, Bobbybic. I'm sure the sorcerers will be pleased. I wonder what it is they do with this stuff anyway.' Your faction standing with Kromzek has been adjusted by 2. Your faction standing with Kromrif has been adjusted by 1. Your faction standing with King Tormax has been adjusted by 1. Your faction standing with Claws of Veeshan has been adjusted by -1. I believe this is an old quest that just went entirely unnoticed by the majority of players. As it happens I was looking for the storm giant foreman and the surveyor popped and I hailed it expecting nothing but came across actual quest dialog. The dusts took me around an hour to gather as they seem to be uncommon/rare and you need a fair bit of them. After seeing the reward I got for my efforts I'm not surprised nobody told their friends this quest existed.
